missed most of the first round games but been watching more and more of the matches. Enjoyed myself a lot outside the matches from my own country.... The Dutch really lacked their lions attitude, went down without showing color etc etc

guessing either Italy or Spain will take the cup home with them
Was frustrated seeing Belgium go out. I thought they played a good game. Loved seeing France get stunned, not because I have a particular dislike for them but because it reshaped the whole tournament. I'm sure someone is counting but how many own goals have their been? Feels like a lot more then in past years although it could just be perception.

On another similar note does anyone know where I can watch the Futsal World Cup in America when it starts in September (I think)? It's not the same but it can be pretty fun as well. Just way less television presence.

10, with yesterday's by Switzerland's Zakaria being the latest one.
Surpassed the 9 own goals scored during the 15 previous Euros combined.

Thanks. I guess chalk it up to.....formations that cause chaos in the area?!? Such a bizarre occurrence and stat. By the way sorry about Deutschland. I always root for them first. Family roots. Trying to teach myself the language too so I can surprise my Opa (his first language).

As I said earlier, chances that we would have made it much further, let alone to raising the cup were slim to none anyway. Not with this current squad that, despite having a few of the old guard (Mueller, Kroos, Hummels) still lacks in the group cohesiveness die Mannschaft is usually known for. Will probably take a looong time until we have a team of the 2014 world champions-calibre again, especially now with Kroos out and Hansi Flick taking over the helm.

Congrats to Denmark and Engerland for advancing.
Switzerland I was really gutted for, seems they used up all the luck in the penalities against France.
Very solid performance tonight. Think we have a good chance against Denmark, although they have also been a good team.
I was bummed out when Sweden got beaten but it's exciting to see DK still being in the competition, always root for the underdog!
It's gonna be an England vs Italy final, isn't it?

They might be the favourites, but I wouldn’t rule out Spain or Denmark. Denmark has had a really good tournament and surprised everyone, and Spain have managed to get through regardless of not being that good. All it would take is Italy to score one and then go on the defence/diving/simulation as normal and for Spain to grab a winner. England can always FCK it up.
Well, it was a good game. Kudos to the ref for not slowing it down, or taking any of the diving nonsense. Thought Spain were the better team overall, just lacked that final touch to put the chances in.

I totally agree with you.
Both teams showed good soccer yesterday.
I think that Italy will win this Euro.
Well, good game. I thought the 90mins could have gone either way. I don’t think it was a penalty, however the pressure up to that point did generate a result, sometimes it works that way. Got another 120mins on Sunday now!!

Good thing England scored before the penalty kicks. We got enough of that already. Congrats England and bravo to Denmark as well.
I have heard it might be "coming home"*. Anyone know any source or truth to these rumors?

*alternately "f**king coming home", "coming f**king home", or possibly even "coming home f**king" depending on blood alcohol level

Well, it’s either going to be the greatest win of all time, or the worst defeat ever. The media have been on their bandwagon. As for coming home, to be fair, England have played every game bar one at home. It may be a good game though, I fear if Italy score first it will turn into the diving contest with much rolling on the floor and such like. That’s my opinion as I open my first bottle of Brugge tripel (Belgian beer)!
