MadalinStroe: I had heard about the new Tomb Raider, in fact I've even seen the trailer, but Uncharted is a complete surprise. However, just hearing about Mark Wahlberg, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci in the main roles completely ruins my interest in the project. It sounds like just another cash grab.
My thoughts exactly. Wonder how much money they dangled in front of Joe Pesci for him to come out of retirement

I don't write off these movies like an ignorant fool. Silent Hill, the original Tomb Raider film and others have been very much enjoyable. A film doesn't have to be Oscar worthy (who actual cares about those lefty twits?!) to be enjoyable. I won't judge until I've seen it.

aye, and for the better in mine opinion. The dynamic between Rose,Cybil and Christabella works very well, and it would be ruined by either of them being male. It is also refreshing to have a movie without a "love interest" sub plot.

I'll check them out at some point. Liked the Tomb Raider movies alot as a teenager (guess why...).
We can only wait and see if the movies are any good.

Fairfox: shouldnt be any kind of barrier to quality.
It lost part of the theme of Silent Hill which was the main character was some every day dad who got caught up in that world trying to find his daughter instead of being some tough action hero.

I've only seen snippets of old Tomb Raider and other than "Angelina Jolie looking sexy" thing, I wasn't interested in it at all.
New one actually looks decent judging by trailer, I might see it when it comes to cinema.
