70% off Jagged Alliance 2, Sacred: Gold, Leisure Suit Larry, Race Driver: GRID and more.

To be considered a legit player by all the cool kids, one first needs to work on their street cred. Maybe sport a backwards baseball cap "borrowed" from the grisly, retired pitcher next door. But why risk having your pants munched by Mr. V's trusty pitbull when you can Play the Field from the comfort of your own home? All you need is a sweet ride, some strategic thinking, and a love expert (with plenty of erotic misadventures under his cheap-looking belt) at your side. Coincidentally, that's exactly what you will find inside our Weekend Promo: Play the Field.

You don't want to come off too strong, so spend some time laying out your strategy first. Refine your tactics with Disciples 2: Gold or go for an exercise in patience and deliberate movement as you slowly form your Jagged Alliance 2. Then you can observe the target from your Off-World Resource Base, making sure you don't become Cannon Fodder when the real action starts. And once it does, don't be cruising in your Pinto, pick out a new ride in Race Driver: GRID or Flatout 2, with the regrettably experienced love-guru Leisure Suit Larry as your co-driver. Next, you should get your ink done in Port Royale 2, and finally reap the rewards of this undoubtedly challenging endeavor. It'll almost feel like winning a round of Combat Chess.

Show everyone that you've got game(s) and Play the Field with our Weekend Promo of 30 titles going for 70% off, including Sacred Gold, Sensible World of Soccer 96/97, 1nsane, Patrician 3 and more. The promo will last until January 11, 4:59 AM GMT.
That reminds me that we haven't seen any release from Codemasters ever since GRID. Maybe we could at least get its sequel or something? Just a thought.
Definitely a mixed bag promo. Will be good for some :)
Nothing I want, but hey.. time flies.
Oh yes, the Flatout games :D
Hum, I need opinions about Race Driver Grid. I'm in lack of racing game, and will definitely buy Flatout 1, eventually the second too... but should I buy Race Driver Grid ? Or Flatout 2 ? Or both of them ? None of them since I'll have Flatout 1 and so should keep my money for another game for now ?

If i were to recommend some games from this promo, they would be Jagged Alliance 2, Disciples 1 & 2 & Patrician 3. Also, i had lot's of fun with FlatOut even though i'm fully into racing sims rather than arcade games. Also, you can choose Sacred if you want to test your mouse's durability or your arm's tendons. That being said, it's a fairly good game.
From the looks of it my wallet seems to be safe for now.
Any recommendations from the racing games ? I only own the first Flatout .

I think Race Drive Grid is a pretty good racing-game, with good physics and handling. It is also very rewarding for playing with higher difficulty, as you get more store points quicker when you do so, for example driving an entire race only using cockpit mode. It's made by the same developers as the Dirt-games, and the biggest difference between the two, is that you drive on asphalt in Grid, and mostly off-road in Dirt. If you like the Dirt-games, you will probably like it :)

I would definitely recommend Race Driver: GRID, as long as you don't expect a full-fledged racing sim (or whatever ToCA was), but instead a stylish semi-arcade-ish racing game with the ability to revert back time in case you crash with no hope for recovery. And if you have a gamepad, or better, a wheel, as the game is a button-masher when it comes to smoothly turning corners with a keyboard.
Ugh... another of these promos and...

.... bought 2 games ;)

LOVE these mixed promos! Yay!

GRID is amazing. Simply one of the best arcade racing experiences on the pc; GRID 1 is up to the task, even to this day.

Never tried a Dirt game... The closer I played was Colin Mc Rae 2 (yeah, I begin to be old). Oh no, I'm wrong, I think I played one Grid game on the DS ! (yes, I was desperate) It was...pleasant but wasn't filling what I was looking for. But it was on the DS, so I don't think the gameplay was near what there is on PC. Gameplay was really arcade, but what didn't pleased me was the "patchwork" way to play the game. But maybe on the PC it's a lot better :) And I usually play in cockpit mode, with manual gear, it's often better :D
Great promo .
very nice promo i have all the classic games that arent 3d,
from previous sales.

my alltime favorite games I can recommend are:

Jagged Alliance
Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games
Jagged Alliance 2

i got these at retail release way back then so thats why i favor these games
also recommend fallout 1+2 and fallout tactics
and all other good classic versions (before they turned into 3d)

Yeah, physics were probably toned down in the DS-version. You could see some YouTube-videos of Grid and see if it looks good. I'd also say that the game is an arcade-racer. Definitely not simulator-realistic or anything, but it's good fun :)
