Jennifer Kent's The Babadook (2014)

Really enjoyed it, despite some flaws like how some sound effects sound all too familiar, like stock sound effects. Really enjoy how the film unfolds as a metaphor for mental health decline, grief, PTSD, and with some genuinely uncomfortable tense moments that makes you question whether what is happening on screen is real or not.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It's Jim Carrey in a totally different light. If you've ever been in love or experienced heartbreak it's a must watch.

idbeholdME: Dredd (2012).

I liked it. Especially that it wasn't afraid of gruesome violence and scenes. Much prefer it to the PG 13 one with Stallone. One minor gripe would be the "slo-mo" effect. Feel like its only purpose was to get something cool looking for 3D cinemas.
RRR is a master piece. Rajamouli’s direction, great sound effects, background music and dance….. mad genius.
I just finished watching "Black Panther," and I have to say it was an incredibly thrilling and powerful movie.

The film tells the story of T'Challa, the newly crowned king of Wakanda, a hidden and technologically advanced African nation. As T'Challa struggles to lead his people and protect their way of life, he is forced to confront the legacy of his father and the challenges posed by a new villain, Killmonger.
The acting in this movie is superb, with Chadwick Boseman delivering a powerful and nuanced performance as T'Challa, and Michael B. Jordan bringing a complex and deeply human dimension to the character of Killmonger. The visuals are also stunning, with vibrant colors and rich imagery that bring the world of Wakanda to life.
But what really sets this movie apart is the way it deals with issues of identity, power, and colonialism. By exploring the tension between tradition and progress, and the ways in which power can be both a source of strength and a corrupting influence, "Black Panther" offers a complex and nuanced look at some of the most pressing issues of our time.
Overall, I would highly recommend "Black Panther" to anyone who enjoys a good superhero movie, or who is looking for a film that tackles important social issues in a powerful and engaging way.
Plane with Gerard Butler, which I really enjoyed. Honorable mention: Also very good and also with him was Greenland.

Totally agree. There's a fine line that movies sometimes need to walk between the best experience possible for theatre audiences and home audiences. The first Avatar film, I think, does a good job of making the 3d effects relatively seamless.

Galaxy Quest
Went through the Harry Potter franchise and the Fantastic beasts franchise.

Honestly pretty good. Missed the wizarding world and got me interested in Hogwarts legacy.
Not a film, but I just finished watching the first season of Narcos the drama series and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to start season 2.
Recently watched "The VelociPastor", which is available on youtube.

It's about a Priest who gains the ability to turn into a dinosaur and gets convinced by a prostitute to use this to fight crime whilst he's being hunted by ninjas.

What more do you need from a movie?
New Lord of the Ring TV-show was one of them.

"Nobody" (2021 - with Bob Odenkirk and Christopher Lloyd)

I found it to be kinda like "John Wick", but with a lighter, more humorous tone.
Embarrassingly, it was Rush Hour 2.

Actually the film is better than the first one, which is marred by Chris Ticker's voice; in the (first) sequel he has obviously been trained. We haven't watched these films for more than a decade —— Jacky Chan is still fantastic. I laughed out loud several times at the manic energy of his fight scenes. I think the third one was a dud, so I'm not sure I want to subject us to it again just to find out ….
