Just finished watching Fanboys. Not a great film in some respects. Stereotypes and such. But I liked it. Stuffed with references and cameos. Great fun!
I watched the first two Phantasm movies again. I wanted to check out the recent restoration job on the first movie. It does look nice.

The second movie is hard to track down online because it's not part of the package deal with the rest of the series, but I found it on Tubi. Watching it for the first time since it originally aired on cable, I found it entertaining but not quite as good as the first one. It doesn't really get going until about halfway through, and the idea that Mike and the lead actress have a psychic bond probably didn't need to be there. Reggie Bannister really makes the movie - I'm not sure why no one has ever gotten around to having him and Bruce Campbell team up for something. I'm also surprised video game developers haven't ripped off the double-double-barreled shotgun from this movie, considering how they love to steal stuff from movies. I guess the Phantasm films never quite got over the hump in popular culture like stuff like Evil Dead managed.
Film, film? I got an educational film about how the new state of Hawaii became the 50th state. It was made in 1960. Full color and sound.

Film transfered to another medium? A film transfer about how to deal with nuclear weapon accidents. It is an instructional film made by the USAF.

Movie? Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
Raya and the Last Dragon. Different, beautiful and quite entertaining.
Alien: Covenant, a really good movie in my opinion.
Good on Paper
Pretty funny and kind-of true story about a comedian's life and a loser guy she met.
News of the World

Tom Hanks Western that started out good and...

... veered into "why did I watch this?" by the end.

before that watched...

Wolfpack

Tom Hanks WWII movie about Naval crossing of the Atlantic -- escorting merchant ships -- while being hunted by U-boats.

Again, started out promising... but never felt like it built up any steam.

Film? Lego Movie... Or was it Monsters Inc?

Anime on the other hand... hmmm :D
The last film i watched was an action film directed by Corey Yuen called "She Shoots Straight". It stars Joyce Godenzi (Sammo Hung's wife) as the protagonist. Very underrated film in my opinion.
The quiet place 2 - Was alright...kind of meh tbh.
Dredd (2012).

I liked it. Especially that it wasn't afraid of gruesome violence and scenes. Much prefer it to the PG 13 one with Stallone. One minor gripe would be the "slo-mo" effect. Feel like its only purpose was to get something cool looking for 3D cinemas.

Bumblebee (2018) is easily the best live-action Transformers movie, low bar as it is. A shame we won't get any sequels.
Outland (1981) with Sean Connery
Druk (2020): a danish drama about a grup of school teachers with a middle age crisis that test a theory about a deficit of 0.05 blood alcohol content, they decide to start drinking to avoid that, and check te results and even push it further.
Bodyguard

Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston

Even though some would call it a romance movie it's actually not a bad action movie either - even if it is a bit light on the action. Haven't watched it in 20 years and felt the need to watch it again. Still holds up pretty well I think.
