HOORAY!
Good to hear. This one's going to be good, methinks.
Wasn't it always in development, by one person in Gearbox shunned by others in the storage room, but now they're picking up the pace?

They borrowed that development strategy from Valve.

Navagon: Valve are the true masters at not doing much work.
And being able to hype it up as well.

I'd much rather see that Alien RPG back in development...

We know L4D3 is up next. The only thing we don't know is where it's set or how annoying the characters will be.

I'm pretty sure Obsidian gave that up for New Vegas. Which means I'm torn. I want both, dammit!

Well, so long as they finish Alpha Protocol + New Vegas, then surely they can start on the Alien RPG? Do they have anything else in development?
I just hope that if this game ever sees the light of day, it's not regionally restricted.
I'm praying to the big guy in the sky that this is more than just a 'Brothers in Arms' set in space, the most overrated tactical shooter ever. -_-
I've not got high hopes for this game if I were honest, Gearbox are a much improved developer these days but I can't see it being any better than Rebellion's graphical update to the AvP series.

My fears are the same, AVP could have been so much more than a 6 hour campaign or laggy multiplayer. I will not pre-order, just wait and see. I sorta hate how AVP displaced Colonial Marines, last year we were told that Feb 2010 Colonial Marines was coming out :sad face:

Yes.
Good news though, I am eager to see it in action. Borderlands was ok but flawed, but I LOVED the Brothers in Arms games.

Rememner, L$D2 *is* the platform!
/sarcasm.

Which is to say: making sequels to L4D is the platform for Valves game development revenue. Who needs new single player games when you can charge full price for an multiplayer expansion?

Not that I recall, but Sega is already eager for them to get to work on Alpha Protocol 2 so it's likely that they will work on that next. Whether they will take on another project on the side as they did with New Vegas is impossible to predict.
