MichaelFurlong: MW2?

Miaghstir: MechWarrior 2
however, I'm pretty sure everyone is really talking about Call of Duty 6.

Yea when I saw MW2 I was thinking mechwarrior 2, but considering they (you know, the "they") are releasing MW4 for free I don't see what they are complaining about.
Yes. Another weekend to get people to rage. They should re-name this weekend to "PLEASE COME HACK THE GAME Weekend".
Gentlemen, prepare your wallhacks and aimbots.
Eh, still not gonna waste the bandwidth to download it, only online fps that has really held my attention at all is TF2. And i'm certainly not paying £33 for a game with short singleplayer and uninteresting multiplayer.
So.. $80AU.. I'll still pass, but thanks for the free frustration listening to whining teen boys calling eachother faggots and slinging insults at one another that make me blush.
Because they make no sense whatsoever. I'm mortified for them, somehow IW is raising an army of mindless, drooling, teen zombies.
Nah, it's okay - I guess. I don't have much of an alternative. CoD4 gets outrageous lag spikes these days. Funnily enough coinciding with MW2, hmm. Pretty much happens on just about every server. What the hell Master Server, what the hell?

Oddly enough where I live nobody ever uses the chat/mic so I never hear insults. But maybe that's just me justifying my purchase.

It's okay, Mike. My justification would be the airport level. And the fact that I can no longer play Call of Duty 4. =(
Thankfully mics aren't used often, but when they are, you wish they hadn't. Does anyone give pause before uttering an insult? Pro tip: if it makes sense, it'll be a better insult.
No matter how cheap it'll be, it's still not a good game.
But thanks to MekTek, we can play the proper [acronym wise] MW4 for free.;>

michaelleung: You should know better than to trust user reviews on Metacritic. Someone gave a 6 on Mass Effect. The average rating is bullshit anyway. Everyone will either love it, hate it or probably just give a low score just because they can.

How unjust! it clearly deserves a 7 on the PC!

A third of it, anyway. It's ONLY Mercenaries.

Sure, we'd be all happy if we got Vengeance with BK too. On the other hand, Mercenaries is the most interesting MW4 title, and they've added the IS stuff, hell, even the Unseen. So we've got a pretty decent campaign with those awesome Solaris showdowns, unlike the other MW acronym, with a great MP, unlike the other MW acronym. And it's free, and soon, MTX will not be required for the installation [unless it already did come out, cause MekTek is down again;)].
The only lacking think now is the HDP.
So, reassuming, it's not "ONLY" Mercenaries. ;)
A CTF match with a good flag guard, and a agile runner is a one of a king experience, unlike.. You know.;)
After playing it on the console and beating it, I still think this game isn't worth more than 10 dollars.
This weekend I actually took the time to download MW2 and try out the multiplayer. Short of the frustrating lack of dedicated servers, I can't really tell how this is very different to MW1.
I think a game that makes me use weapons that everyone complains about ('nade attachments) in order to unlock other weapons is badly designed.
Judging by the callsigns I also conclude that the developers really enjoy their blunt/joint/weed/whatever.

I didn't bother to download MW2 and from the sounds of it I dodged some grief.
