There are really a plethora of reasons for this. First of all, it is important to note that only the "hot" stupid girls are considered attractive, if a person is not "hot" and acts stupid, then that will make her "even less attractive" (I'm speaking in very general terms here). She will also have to conform to certain other standards in regards to her looks for stupid to "work".
-Guys (much like women) are quite insecure, and there is the whole "not being bested by a girl" thing to take into account as well. Men get incredibly insecure about women being better than them at certain things, and I suspect that this is, at least in part, cultural. Men are in some ways expected to be "superior", and if a persons girlfriend/wife would turn out to be significantly better at him at something that he values, it will be a blow against his ego.
-Then there is the trophy girlfriend/wife thing. Having a girlfriend/wife who looks really good is something that a lot of men perceive as something that will give him a greater social status (and there is more than a grain of truth to this)
-And finally, stupid girls are seen as "easy"

All of this has resulted in a bit of a worship among some men of the "stupid bimbo".

I suppose the number of gamers who just want to oggle a decent looking girl who doesn't make them insecure about their e-peens far outnumber those who just want quality content that isn't dumbed down. Youtube's her job, she has to eat like everyone else.

It's quite a shame really. Still, there are other female gaming personalities on Youtube who aren't insufferable mouth breathers. They are a tad hard to find, but they exist nonetheless.

That's why you marry an asian and divorce her at 45, right before she enters the old crone stage (it's the price they pay for having that seemingly eternal 17 year-old look).

Seriously though, why do you think divorce stays at 50% in the U.S.? We marry for stupid things.

It's been a while since I've been keeping up with her videos but I certainly wouldn't call the way she was acting "stupid". I found her endearing and generally pleasant to listen to. Well - guess I'm not really a person who can appreciate intelligence, huh ? The things we learn about ourselves...
Something to ponder - is there really a definite way of acting if you are intelligent ? How are you supposed to behave if you want people to know that is the case ? Can intelligent people still joke around and be silly ?

I think that the word you're looking for here's 'intellectual.' There can be an intelligent person who doesn't necessarily act stupid, but doesn't really feel obliged to show his intelligence to his surroudings either. And then there are people who can be stupid for all we know, but have a lot of gained knowledge and use it at every opportunity. To someone who doesn't really know either of them, the latter person will seem more intelligent than the former, even if it's not true at all.

That's what I mean by a "spiritual system", which is something every religion has (and atheism doesn't). Atheists may be spiritual, but it's not their "flavour" of spirituality that makes them an atheist as it is with chatolics for instance.

You don't really have to have that much knowledge, though - just present what you know as if it's only the tip of the iceberg and allow people to assume that you could go on "forever". The problem is that it's very hard to identify such people (if they're good at it) unless you know more than a little yourself. It's an invaluable trait for any politician or business broker.

Or forum poster. Like there's no intelligent women who prefer stupid men. One of my best friends comes from a rich and highly intellectual family (also her uncle was a German war criminal but that's a different story), first studied medicine then economics and is now trading pieces of art and organizing exhibitions. Until recently all of her boyfriends (there's been like a dozen of them) were total idiots that she mostly met in clubs. And I know more girls like that. I'm more and more under the impression that you're a little sexist. :P
