Because if yes, then you will probably don't like this giveaway! :p

Anyway, are you afraid of blood? No? Yes? Why? What happened? Share you blood-related story for a chance to win a GOG copy of Bloodrayne 2 or a Steam copy of Betrayer. No rules, just some forum presence besides giveaway threads. You can enter for someone else. Will probably pick the winners by myself (not by random), not sure about deadline. :D

Please, don't take this GA too seriously, if you don't want to talk about blood in RL, you can tell me something about blood in videogames. You can also use this thread for a general discussion about blood in medias, i.e. games, movies, anime, mangas, etc.

So, ARE YOU AFRAID OF BLOOD?!

I'm in for the first valid entry below my post. :P

I remember reaching into one of my bags during traveling and cutting my finger on the razor. My goodness, do those things cause you to bleed nonstop! It's crazy. ^^
In for Blood Rain 2. :p

Not me. I love gore and movies like Tokyo Gore Police. I'm only afraid of blood if it's my own blood gushing out of my body.

Thank you for the giveaway, and thank you MaximumBunny for the extra entry. :)

Not in.

You know, it's almost criminal you're not giving away Blood in this giveaway :-P

And I don't mind blood, until there are yellow-ish bits of under-skin fat rearing their ugly head from a wound on my body. That's where I start to get worried :-P
Thanks for the giveaway; I will be in for someone else later.

I'm not fazed at all by blood; only somewhat surprised in case an injury generates more blood than I anticipated. I still remember one time while I was gathering some tumblers from the dishwasher and when two of them just touched each other, one was instantly shattered. I was so surprised by this that I only noticed that my hand was bleeding, when someone actually screamed "You're bleeding!". "Oh, you're right!" I just uttered.

Also, fuck tin cans. I haven't had a cut so deep from a knife as I had by one of those fuckers.

Heh, you don't tend to notice cuts for some reason - lower chance of hitting a nerve perhaps? But then they start bleeding like hell. Our pet rat has bitten me once, with those sharp little teeth, and got stuck in the wound so it then proceeded to wiggle the teeth around. Now that's a small wound you'd never expect to generate such a mad amount of blood.
Nope, not afraid at all.

I once did decided to spend some blood.

So I went to the truck to spend my blood. Wholy shit, did they ask a lot of questions.......took longer than the donation itself :P

So I was sitting? laying in the chair and the wanted to start.

But first they asked me, have you eaten anything yet? No, I answered, as I don´t eat in the morning. They were kind of puzzled and didn´t want to continue as they told me, they might be afraid, I would collapse. But I said go ahead I am a strong guy (100 kg), so they went ahead.

Next to me was another guy donating as well.

So I was laying there till it finished, when I saw the guy next me, suddenly went all pale, I mean it, PALE. SO I called the ´nurse´to get their attention to this guy. They had to stop his donation, he was looking like, he needed one for himself ;)

I really had to chuckle, when I saw this. Plus he did have breakfirst, did eat and drink a bit in the truck.

For me the best joke was the advice they gave me at the end:

Don´t smoke for moment: First thing I did, I lighted up my pipe :)

And I did continue too donate blood. I suggest you do the same, you can do it for free or you might be even able to get some mony from it. But I do it, to help others in need. If you do it like I do it, check a bit beforehand, which organisation is behind, some are scamming you!!!!
no im not afraid of blood
i play blood rayne and vampire bloodlines the word blood is in the titles ;p

not in though

already have both games
Not afraid by blood, no, having handled carving knives since an early age and taking insulin injections have led to me puncturing more than a few blood vessels through the years. Though I have some difficulties with depictions of gore, and try to stay away from games and movies where such is prominently featured (or at least turning away from the screen, for example at the beginning of Skyrim, when another prisoner is beheaded).

In for the next entry that doesn't have someone else in for them.

It's a funny thing with bleeding, really. Sometimes, you cut yourself and while bleeding doesn't commence immediately, you know it will eventually start. Other times, you bleed without even noticing it and other times, you start bleeding at the same time you cut yourself.
Blood is the most important fluid for life. It smells like iron, is red, and crucial for survival. It is also sweet upon tasting, when for example you lick a wound before applying medication. Blood, or Xue, as chinese call it, is one of the most important ingredients in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and some people consume it even instead of medication products. Or as an appetizer/digestive, like those snakewines (the ones with the blood of the snake mixed in high % alcohol and drunk as shots). They claim it raises health, longevity, sexual performance. Even though reptiles are known as regular carriers of salmonela. If i ever travel to Asia as a tourist, i am itching to discover the culinary tradition on snake and snake parts... They have (in)famous restaurants that serve snake related dishes (snakewine with blood as well), as a tourist attraction and local food-therapy treatment.

I am not afraid of blood. When i go for medical check ups, i am afraid of needles and syringes only, instead. I cannot stand the tools and feeling of laceration, but with blood itself, i am ok. When the lab test requires a somewhat big amount of blood to be drawn from me, and i feel cold and near faint, i still am not afraid of blood (or anything), only disgusted at being lacerated and feeling it, to have the blood drawn.

I like blood. But i hate needless loss of it, or "psychotic" and (pseudo)"religious" use of it. Almost everytime i have an accidental "leak" of it, i always sip it. And i have begun learning the basics of traditional chinese medicine as well... I made my own snakewine shot, with a tincture of pure vodka, ginseng, ginger root, and european viper blood thrown inside. Strange or not, it was very pleasing to the taste.

Am in for the Blood Rayne 2, GoG. THanks for the giveaway!

There are treatment pills, but those only help for people whose pancreas can still produce some insulin on their own (most of the people with type2 diabetes, not type1, which I have).

Although, apparently, they are working on getting insulin pills to work.
