Really what the hell is going on with Australia. You don't get Risen and every other game you get is cut by censorship. Somebody is very sick out there.
I'm eagerly waiting for this game.

Aussies are better than Germans. I am really sad for Germans. :)
Everything is better then EU.
I would like to say, this is my favorite game to come out in years. It is even avatar worthy. Beats out the facepalm by a hair.
Apparently the australian version of borderlands has been fixed. Well kinda...
"Games On Net reports that the version of Borderlands being served to Australian customers through Steam has been fixed, and Australia is now receiving the uncut edition of the game, rather than the censored version. That's the good news, the bad news is those who have already gotten their copy through Steam will need to download the full 8 GB game to get the right version."
Apart from having to redownload the entire fucking game again, its been fixed

The funny thing about this is that since pretty much everyone in Australia probably has capped broadband, the people who need to redownload the whole game AGAIN probably burned through their cap and they'll have to wait anyway.

That's bullshit anyway. It's not like every file has been censored. Manually deleting the affected files should do the trick.

I think the assets itself may have the "offending" material here, even if it has the same names as the normal Borderlands.

Hey this is Steam. For ex in CoH patches on Steam you must download the whole game again. 8 GB lol.

What? That's insane. The patch is only 23 megabytes or so.
Yes, but with all COH patches same thing happens.

Blame it on Relic. Because nothing is ever Steam's fault! LOL
I said that so many times before but now.....
You guys are blaming Steam but it's Relic's fault that these small patches require such large downloads through Steam. Valve games are mostly composed of a few very large cache files but you don't have to download a whole new 3gb cache file to update one part of it.
Relic needs to be providing Steam-specific patches to their games so that Steam can update parts of files instead of redownloading them. I think it's just as ridiculous as the rest of you do but you're directing your anger towards the wrong company.

What an ass-kisser.

That's Relic's fault. I love their games. But they're clearly not bothering to release patches through Steam and instead are just replacing the entire game's files each time.
Damn, though. I thought that having to constantly download those sodding patches was annoying enough.

I'm not sure how many censored files are the problem. But I bet there isn't 8GB of them. Deleting files from a Steam install will automatically prompt it to replace those files. Which in this case should include the fixed ones.
