In b4 angry posts demanding why, in the name of all that is holy, only the Steam version is honored in the competition, and not, oh I don't know, the version from the company's very own distribution platform.

It's not. See option b to participate.

Well to be fair GOG and CD Projekt RED are two separate companies that have the same owners, so no GOG is not CD Projekt RED's(I mean the CD Projekt RED behind The Witcher and not CDPR S.A.) digital store. Think of it like the Fox network and Fox News there both owned by the same company but their two separate entities

IIRC CD Projekt RED owns GOG. They 'exchanged places' with the CD Projekt 'whatever' company was selling games and previously owned CD Projekt RED. Now RED is the owner of both GOG and the company that sells retails games and stuff.

I doubt I make sense, though.

Ermmm...I just got denied access to the site. I am definitely over the age of 17, which is when people can buy the game in the US legally.

Is it DD/MM/YYYY? I put it in MM/DD/YYYY, and maybe it just screwed something up.

Heh. I did put the date in wrong. It wanted DD/MM/YYYY.

Less bandwidth for the company. It's obviously not aimed at increasing GOG recognition or popularity, so in the end the company shovels the bandwidth cost on someone else and still gets it's cut. That'd be my theory, anyway.

Be that as it may they have said many times GOG and CD Projeckt RED are separate entities despite being owned by the same company. So there is no Steam=Valve and Origin=EA type of thing.

That's the problem, i fear. There's no orcs in the witcher.

Roll a new character and change race.

I doubt the percentage steam is getting from the sales is less expensive than the bandwith though.
