Not too many in general, just too many I have not yet played. That includes some stuff bought on GOG during promos, and stuff GOG gave away for free, and a huge amount of games that were included with various gaming magazines, dating back years, maybe decades. That is why I'm not buying anything new now, I've skipped the fall promo, and I'm skipping winter promo too. I'll save some money and play what I've already got first.

89 on GoG
6 on steam
1 on uPlay

These are what I bought since August this year, most were from the sale and humble bundle. I retired from world of Warcraft in august once I found this site, saying that I remember 'good old games' along with theunderdogs back in the day.

I have tons of boxed games for PC, Amiga and C64

Really enjoying this site, seems to be troll free.

Keep up the good work GoG.
around 300. (~250 on steam plus 50+ on GOG). most of steam's are from bundles, though (it's hard to say "no, I want them on GOG" when they offer you like, 8 games for what two of them cost here at GOG -... and that's in the sales, mind you - ... I'm looking at you, BundleStars)

I have promised myself several times I won't buy anything else 'till I clear at least a portion of them (50 or so). but then the sales come, and... I end up buying some more. (but less than before.... say, on GOG fall sale, I only got 6. 3 on steam fall sale. )

but I still think I'm gonna play through at least most of them, sooner or later. (you know, some day). the exception is, if I really don't like one, I'll uninstall it and count it as completed. (... I have my whole backlog installed atm, mind you. my HDD is starting to fill, though... )

good thing is: I already own most of what interests me. sure, there are other games that look interesting, but they are usually too expensive for me, so I know I won't get them in a few years ('till they drop in price AND have a good sale).
Too...many....games.... I am familiar with these words but have never heard them put together in this way. Does this makes sense?

I like to play but seem to collect because I remember when I was younger and didn't have as many options and think I may go overboard at times.

Right now 457 on steam and 366 on GOG. Plus around 100 or so retail. Than console games too. Yeah, I have a lot.

Sam2014: Do not even hold a candle to some here.
Someone on Steam Gifts celebrated owning 2000 games on Steam.

xieliming: Out of curiosity, are you guys/gals playing through some/one of those games on your backlog or does it just represent a backlog you'll likely never touch?
I'm not playing any PC game at the moment. I installed Jade Empire on our new laptop and started playing it, but it was quickly apparent that my family isn't happy when I'm not at their beck and call. I might be able to dedicate some time to it in the evenings, but it competes with shorter entertainment options, like movies, and these have the satisfaction that they get finished. I do intend to play the Valiance Online pre-alpha, but that's outside the backlog.

I do play my Android backlog, but it tends to grow faster than I can play it, largely thanks for free games. One game recently dropped out of it, Gobliiin Trilogy. It was sad because I wanted to play it, but I updated in on the Amazon app store and DotEmu added all kinds of insane permissions, like finding my location. Can't stomach that kind of thing, so I uninstalled it.
Yes, here and on Steam. I don't have nearly as many as other people, but if they were boxed copies I wouldn't have the shelf space. I have a handful that I play regularly, and the others seem to wait for "some day."
