49 GOG games
598 Steam games

Yeah. I do have a problem and it only seems to get worse by the day.
There's no way I'll be able to play all of that in a foreseeable future but I don't care. I'll keep buying games that look like I could enjoy at some point.
Not counting the freebies, I have around 10 games on GOG and 8 on Steam. So no, I don't think I own to many games. I ownED a lot back in the day but sadly those boxes and discs got lost a loooooong time ago (like Planescape Torment, which I already got back here on GOG). Somehow is because I'm more demanding of the games I play and is really weird for me to find an interesting long game (most AAA games today are "meh" for me so I don't even bother).
Wow, I thought I was bad.
Do not even hold a candle to some here.
I m not sure how many box games I have.
Guess one day I need to round them up and
count them.

I am going to print out this thread, so when the
relatives come to commit me for my "supposed huge"
collection of games, I am not even "normal" ....
LOL, I think ;)
Out of curiosity, are you guys/gals playing through some/one of those games on your backlog or does it just represent a backlog you'll likely never touch?
Way too many here. Almost embarrassing, really. During the last year I have finished a whole bunch of them, though. Trying to be a bit strict with myself from now on. If I buy it I play it til I am done.
All in all here, I have 45 or so games but some were freebies. I have more games pretty much all around. Have had something gifted to me on Steam, and also have games that aren't on Steam or GOG that are just...all over the place. I think I've mostly been collecting games more so past couple of years because I was rarely able to get games growing up ( family didn't have a lot of money ).

..anyway, past couple of years I've been getting the feeling we may very well have another crash in the games industry ( worst case scenario ) or just a very long time between games than has been because of the demand for better put-together games that has kinda been ignored for too long by some big companies.

I rarely, rarely ever get a game just as it comes out and I've only ever pre-ordered on WoW expansion ( this current one, Warlords of Draenor ). I have no interest in jumping into a new game just as they come out. I take a lot of time with any game that I play and don't get all that much time each day to play them as I'm doing a lot of job training and taking care of three cats ( one is about seven and a half months old now and she's flippin' insane... kittens don't really grow out of the "kitten crazies" for a year or two ).

Lot gone on in life that I think I'll be set for many more years to come.

I never buy games without the intent to play them. I bought Shadow Warrior 2013 now, which I cannot touch now because of my computer, but the intent for the future is there. :)

I have 146 games on GOG (counting also freebies). Sometimes I have a bad feeling about it. But then I remember the statistic which I calculated for myself - on average I spent, about €14 on GOG games in a month. That is not that much, there are much more expensive "hobbies" out there. It is not causing me financial hardships so I do not worry that much.
I've been buying 0.5315455696202532 games per day here on GOG, that's roughly one game every two days. Of course, I can't finish one game every two days nor do I plan to. I intend to install and play everything at some point but I do most certainly not intend to finish every game, only those I like and/or very short ones. If I don't like a game or it starts to feel aggravating, I freeze and ultimately abandon the game. Doesn't matter if I paid only $1 or $10 for it.

Only exception are point & click adventures, for some reason I go OCD on those games and want to finish them even if I don't like them all.
I think most of you have too many Steam games, but you can never have enough GOG games!

Well ... maybe you can take it overboard a bit ... but I only have 66 games on GOG ... nothing on Steam ...
I have completed 43/166 games on gog and 32/115 on steam. A lot of those games I've played but not finished mind you.

Magmarock: My GOG library is 313. In all honesty with so many great games I must confess that I have bought a few cheap games on impulse and I think I have a few too many. Luckily you can hide some games which I might do.

Do any of you guys think "You know I may have over done it."
GOG, I am just starting ;)

But I know that I threw away 3 moving boxes, full with boxes of games I bought. Noooooooooooooooo, not the games, just the boxes!!!!!!!!!!

Some of the boxes I already had to flatten, so that it would fit.

And Yes, I played all of them, maybe not through, but I played and/or still play ;)
Yes, way too many, but I also like collecting games so its not really a problem for me.
