eh My mom used to play fighters such as Tekken and Street Fighter. When she saw SFIV advertised she really wanted to play it. I might give it to her for her B-Day. But sense she never has much time to play I might just by her something more worth while.

(I am not a big fan of fighters so buying SFIV for myself would be pointless)

My dad gets dizzy if he plays anything better looking than the n64 =/
My grandmother was apparently crazy good at Sonic 1 on Genisis. My brother and I got our mom turned into the Animal Crossing Series, she took to that like crazy.
Nope, but thankfully they were have never restrictive of what my brother and I were allowed to play. As long as it didn't involve porn, it was fine with them. They knew we had an understanding of the difference between fantasy and reality and right and wrong.

No, they think PC and video games are for children only. It is now obvious, my parents do not look at me as the son they have always dreamed about having. But I do not think of much of them, so I don't care.

My mom does. I guess she is the one that fueled my gaming habits. She used to play Atari with us and bought me and my bro our NES one Christmas. She always played games with me growing up, now my kids help her out! She plays Mario, donkey kong, some other games, Popcap games and the like. My dad, hell no. I think I caught him playing Donkey kong on the snes one day and that was it!

My mother play mostly Big Fish games (You know.. the find the hidden object games) and majhong... But I try to get her big point & click games if they're mac compatible.
Nope. Actually they're pretty biased towards gaming in general, although they don't bust my balls too much about it.
Heh, I'm willing to bet I'm old enough to be your parent, OP. :P

But in answer to your question, no my parents don't play video games. I, however, who am looking at the completion of my fifth decade on this planet in the fairly near future, love to play video games. Alas, my wife doesn't understand the obsession. Our kids dig it though.
Nope, I never got them to see the appeal. Didn't try very hard either, as they weren't very supportive of my interest in video games. My dad can spend hours in front of the computer toying around with all kinds of programs just for the fun of it, but if it's an actual "game", it's a waste of time (and probably virus-infected or in any case the source of all evil that could befall the computer). My mom once discovered Tetris for some reason, more than a decade after its peak, and she got hooked on it for a bit, but generally she thinks video games are for kids.

From what I understand, my father had two different Atari systems before I was born, and years later when I was in middle school, he was always hogging the Ps1 to play Test Drive 5 and Gran Turismo.

You took the words out of my mouth. Yes and no, I'm sure my mom would play Words With Friends or something, but they don't currently play anything they would consider games.

I am a parent, however, and I play games. My daughter and I play a lot of co-op, trade controllers, and occasionally engage in vs. play.
My dad plays CS and World of Tanks
The worst bit is he is better than me at CS :(
No, except of solitare games ;P They say that games are not interesting

Oh yeah, my mom does play several Solitaire and Hearts games on the computer. I forgot about that.
My dad used to play Final Fantasy 4(2) and then FF 6(3) back when they were first released. Now, he just sits back and talks about being the greatest player of those games in world history.
