timppu: Since Finland never does well in football... one thing I never understood, and seems quite common here, is to root for some foreign football team, or a foreign national team.

I really don't understand that. Why would I be e.g. a ManU, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Valencia etc. fan? How can I root for a team or a country to which I have absolutely no ties? Brazil vs England... I couldn't care less which wins.
Back in the day they only showed British football in television, they hardly ever televised local matches or anything. That reflects directly into the amount of supporters those UK teams have in Finland.
Sheep Rodeo. I always win because the sheep can't carry me. I can sit on it for hours.

My favourite sport is ice hockey.
I also like basketball (I played this for some time), but only NBA, I am not big fan of european basketball.
I also watch football often but I have mixed feeling about that one and sometimes I watch it mainly because it has best coverage here.

I despise baseball and american football. I found them incredibly boring, slow and uninteresting.

I (occasionally) enjoy a good American football game, I find this sport quite entertaining, but I totally share your opinion regarding baseball. I'm sure that baseball must be a fun sport to play, but how in the world can you not fall asleep watching a baseball game ?
Boxing.
Basketball. (Even though I'm pretty short)
Considering I ran track and cross country, take a wild guess.
Used to be in MMA but not anymore. Too many damn point/lay and praying fighters. :(

I'm big fan of hockey.

If you're talking about esport then I avidly follow League of Legends pro scene. It's pretty fun.
Boxing, MMA, and I like watching X-Games, particularly for snowboarding, skateboarding, etc.
Motorized racing, but typically those that aren't overly regulated. That means Formula 1 and NASCAR are out.

And crap, that reminds me: I gotta get over to Road America next year for at least a couple events. Going to the big-name races was much easier when we lived 20 minutes from Road Atlanta.
I don't really follow any sports, but I sometimes enjoy soccer and hockey. Not a huge football fan, although I'll sometimes watch it with my dad and brothers as a family thing. Baseball baffles and bores me.
