Austrobogulator: My intended way of solving it was to just paste it into Notepad and then just reduce the vertical width of the window to the lowest possible size (which happens to be 11 characters wide).
avatar
Tiziano: That is exactly the way I also did it! I wanted to give a more technical explanation. :D
Told yous. Positively facepalm-inducing ;-) Thanks for ridding me of redeemer's guilt, Tiziano! Or more headaches, as the code I read off doesn't appear to register. That way madness lies.

Austrobogulator: Septerra Core is still at large, so I'm bumping this thread with a Steamy Puzzle Agent:

Spinorial: Oh, I just realised there's still a Puzzle Agent out there.
I figured out the puzzle, but it had already been taken by a silent ninja. :-(
Pretty clever idea actually. The solution is fairly simple. Each number is an app code on Steam.

18820 : Zero Gear
16030 : 7 Wonders: Treasures of Seven
15000 : Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lockdown
23200 : I-Fluid
210950 : Rune Classic

209370 : Analogue: A Hate Story
90024 : Garry's MOD 9
41500 : Torchlight
107800 : Rochard
65610 : ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif

9500 : Gish
208140 : Endless Space
214340 : Deponia
45730 : Dark Void Zero
210490 : Fray: Reloaded Edition

With the list of names, select the first letter, or if the name contains a number, select the number. The underlined is the answer.

D'oh! Do you know how many hours I looked at the boiling points of different elements? I gotta hand it to you, Austrobogulator, you have one of the most inventive minds I've encountered!! You should be crafting puzzles for a living! Srsly, thank you for a most excellent puzzle. I bow to your deviousness!

uchristensen, thank you for saving me many, many more hours of wasted time. Too bad the solver didn't post the solution and a thank-you - this game is definitely on my most-wanted wish list, though apparently I'm way, way to dumb to play it ;-(

Nice. Simple, elegant, yet cunning. Kudos to Austrobogulator for crafting it and you for solving it. I am only an egg.

As I took a Painkiller: Black Steam rose from the ground; I stepped towards it. Thud. I fell through the ground and landed on a shovel. Ow.

After regaining consciousness, I woke up staring at my initials; it turned out to just be the last two characters of a website printed on the shovel - Useless - I had no way to connect to the internet here. I continued to look around; I was in some kind of dungeon. I noticed a letter engraved into the floor; I ignored it, assuming that it wasn't of any importance. All I needed right now was a way out.

I brushed myself off and decided to continue walking forward. Instead of having a letter engraved in the floor though, these next two rooms I was in had numbers. I decided to change directions to see what was around the corner.

I turned into the new room, and lo and behold, I seemed to have found some kind of treasure!! Luckily I took that shovel with me. I started digging, and digging, and digging, and...nothing. Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time, I guess there really wasn't any treasure in the room after all. Hmph.

Dejected, I slowly walked into another room, I didn't even pay attention to which direction I went. I continued walking in that same direction until I saw a room with a long line across the ground. I walked along the line and followed it into another room. I then turned the corner into yet another room, a room with my first initial engraved into the ground.

I continued walking. Shit! Have I been walking around in circles? I swear I've seen this exact symbol before. Hitting that shovel must've really messed with my head; those German shovels really are built solidly.

I frustratedly walked into another room, thankfully, I was sure I hadn't been here before. I continued on in the same direction, eventually landing me in a room with yet another line. I was contemplating the meaning of the lines, when out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a wall nearby! I ran to it. At least now I knew that this dungeon had some kind of end point. The last thing I wanted was to be trapped in some kind of infinite dungeon!

I looked down at the etching on the ground, maybe this was a clue - it wasn't quite an arrow, but it did seem that one part of the symbol was pointing towards a doorway. I think it was supposed to be a letter or a number, but all I had on my mind was the thought of an arrow pointing towards an exit. So, I walked in the direction of this strange 'arrow' until I found a room with the first letter of my last name - that had to mean something, right?

Maybe it did, because the next room I walked into had a ladder reaching up towards the ceiling. This was it. I kissed the number that was written on the ground. A bad idea, but I was ecstatic that I had found my way out. I felt something on my hand while I was on all fours, it was a piece of paper. I spat out the dirt from my mouth and looked at what was written on it - it was a map, a map of this dungeon. A fat lot of good this will do now. I scrunched up the map and threw it away as I climbed up the ladder.

Figure this one out.

The Con Artist DLC for Omerta: City of Gangsters (GOG)

B4HZ-TML7-RGXM-4Q4H

As we start at the beginning, we need to proceed inward counter to time. Think inside a regular box.
'Free your mind through flowers',
it has been six days now that our commander said the magic sentence. These words really changed a lot for us over here and with each passing day we manage to forget time and struggle a little more. The flower beds that are in progress seem to grow well and I hope that can convince our new German friends to get us new seeds soon.

We would like two new kinds of roses and another two primrose seeds for the spot north of our barracks. That should provide us with plenty new colours and shapes to work with.

In just another two more days we hope to get the last marsh violet. As we are approaching the season for new sowing, it is about time, or we would have to wait until the next chance.

With only like eight prisoners there is little chance for the project. But we find real harmony and peace in this whole endeavour. Could you please make sure that all of our beloved families get to see the letter, so they all know the Germans treat us well and that they have shown respect and we feel in good hands.

In just about four weeks I am going to have two pages and roughly eight stamps. Then you could get news, but please do not worry if my next letter arrives late.

Yours very sincerely,
Fujek, 4th squadron of the 7th army.

That last part, oh my god, you are Satan.
Well, guess I'm not human...
