Hi!

Recently I've been thinking about games I could show my grandpa, who uses a notebook on a daily basis. He mostly plays FreeCell or similar card games and he's quite good at it. Logic or puzzle games with simple controls and without any sort of timer (or time pressure) would be best. Turn-based games come to my mind but I think deep strategy games might be overkill. ;)
Which games do you guys suggest?

Better yet, get him the Indie Puzzle games Bundle that comes back tomorrow, which has CLARC, Mousecraft, Block that matter, Tetrobot & Co. and Q.U.B.E. Director's cut.

The DROD games are also worth mentioning.

I'm afraid these games would be a little overwhelming for someone who is not used to "real" games (with graphics...and story...and adventure...you know what I mean :P). I'd rather keep it as simple as possible. Thanks for your suggestions though. :)

My Dad plays the hell out of the

Zuma
and a Skat game

which I bought for him as a gift for his birthday.

Sadly those games are not available on GOG.

Who knows? He might actually enjoy them. Myst was my first Point-and-click adventure and completely loved it. I was also going to suggest the hidden objects games that Snowkatt did. My mom does pogo.com for her game fix. That's got a lot of board games and hidden object games, and of course different solitaire games too.

Maybe something like Bejeweled? I'd also suggest pinball games. Those are easy to grasp for one not used to playing 'real' computer games.
