In short it is a Forum based game of logic, lies, and deduction.

There is an Informed Minority (Mafia) against an Uninformed Majority (Town). And through posting and prodding the town tries to deduce who is town and who is mafia.

It can be quite fun. You can read some of the previous games to get a rough idea. The crowd here is really quite friendly to new players so if you're interested please know you will be thoroughly supported......and then soundly lynched.

I don't know if someone else pointed this out, but running up the wrong track (flow opposite your own) in reverse is exactly the right way, you're just facing backwards.
