Funny, that's how I feel about Mass Effect 2, and I've only played through that once. I don't care how much DLC they make, even if it's free. Unless they make a DLC that removes planet scanning from the game, I am NEVER playing it again. The person who designed that particular game mechanic ought to be trampled to death by ducks.

I had more fun doing that than anything else in the game. It's because of Scanning that I consider it the best RPG of this year.

The new patch apparently improves planet scanning a lot. The 360 already got it but BioWare are making us wait.

No! When I did spot the gnome, I had no idea how to get out of the launch site, or close enough to stick that little bastard on the rocket.

Updates to Portal, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Life 2: Episode Two have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:
Engine
Fixed fonts sometimes not displaying when the game is loaded (Mac)
Fixed crash on launch in rendering subsystem (Mac)
Portal
Optimized particle rendering for lowend GPU's, made acid pits more performant (Mac)

Well they can fix that when they add TF2 for Mac.

Which will cause even more mess. I think it would be better if they fix their currently released games for both platforms, then release new games.
Also, HL2: DM is coming together with TF2 or? Anyone has some info about this?

I earned the Achievements through the HL2 Update Mod and got them on this new update too. But if you committed the required actions in vanilla HL2, no, you won't get them.

Yeah, the whole "episodic gaming" thing seems rather pointless after so long, doesn't it?

Well at least their schedule is a little better than SiN Episodes's one.
