I've become desentisized to franchise rape by this point, and usually just ignore them. It's sad to see the classics defiled, but I'm comforted by the knowledge that it's mostly just a name, and loosely cloned universe.

/sigh... to bad really... the only nice thing about the remakes is I get back into the old classics :) just dusted Xcom off again, and I'll have to look for my HoMM installer :)

There's going to be a a 2D Thief browser based Flash MMO like Legends of Zork.

Well, Heroes of M&M Kingdoms, their browser-based MMO, is not that bad. I took part in their closed-beta last year, there were some good ideas. I'm not into MMOs (too time-consuming for me), but my girlfriend signed up for the open beta and she really liked it. As she's a huge fan from the earlier HoMM games (especially n°3), I guess it's a sign that this is not such a bad game.
Never heard of this HoMM Online though. If it's a mix between HoMM3 and Kingdom, it might end up as a decent game. I say : wait and see, we'll have plenty of time to yell at them if they mess up the whole game !
