Another Linux-User here. Kubuntu it is for me.

I'm dual-booting with Windows 7 because of games. As it was mentioned before: Gaming under Linux is just ... not so nice.
I'd love to have some good Ports for Linux.
*Raises the left fist*

Dual-booting the best Linux (Arch) and Windows 7 (Sadly). After running Mint to get used to Linux before switching to a faster and more custom built System. I've actually migrated everything to Linux except a very few games (like Rayman 2). Of course, a Windows 7 system is quite useful fpr LAN-Parties where a quick install is needed to get going, but everything that I have I try to run on Linux.
That means all Dosbox and Scummvm games, and native ones (UT, UT2004, 0ad, World of Goo, Freespace 2 and Neverwinter nights). Everything else I run through wine + playonlinux, which works like a charm, especially thanks to the GOG-Install Scripts from a user here. (Thanks Petchema! )

Personally I'd like to see the native versions from Indie Developers here (Trine, etc) and tar.gz archives of the Dosbox games, so we don't need to run the Installer in Wine. That would ease Installing Dosbox games.

A GNU/Linux and Mac section would be nice, although game specific Linux info should stay in the games own subforum.

Debian stable.

I've been solely on linux for a number of years now and as such, only frequent gog on occasion as it is hard to track what works etc.

+1

Using two machines: RHEL & Windows. As with most here. Windows for gaming, Linux for the rest.

I use Ubuntu on one of my laptops(It has Vista installed but it isn't working), the other one is running Windows 7. I will gladly support games with native Linux clients. I voted for the “add linux versions of games" suggestion and its Mac counterpart in solidarity.
I raise mine sheepishly. (Linux)

*raises mac hand*
I raise my hand.

Although I'm presently using Ubuntu Linux in a VM - mainly due to me coding for and learning how to use Linux, and, thus, don't want to accidentally nuke my computer by doing something stupid - I do appreciate the open-source nature of Linux, how much faster and responsive it is compared to Windows (yes, even Windows 7!), etc., and would really like to see native Linux apps to leverage this.
Only 23 posts (accounting for my non-hand raising post) so far, and it looks like we are loosing steam. That's quite a bit down from last years poll.

Less than 100 votes needed in the linux versions wishlist to have it take top spot for all time Most wanted feature. Might be worth a vote if you haven't done so already.

Lastly, I didn't see a forum request wish so I made one. It wasn't my idea originally but if you're interested in a dedicated Linux/Mac area it might be worth a quick vote.

I use Linux exclusively.
Linux user since 2005 and couldn't be happier. :) Back then "gaming" was Armagetron Advanced and Tux Racer.
Arch linux user here
I got Ubuntu here. Still 10.10, because I hate both Unity and Gnome 3.

Thankfully older games aren't impossible to run. Either fiddling with wine or using a Windows VM if you're really desperate usually gets it done.
I'm a Mac user.
