PaterAlf: But it seems it doesn't show all threads and posts. When I try it with my username exactly 100 threads come up, but for example not the "Word Association" thread.
avatar
Stooner: I think that's because it only shows threads where you were quoted.
That's what I've observed as well. The search checks the content of posts, which contain usernames of posts that were quoted, but it doesn't seem to check the usernames to the left of the posts (if that makes sense).

That does make sense and thank you guys for the clarification and bummer but it is the only way of finding some post history that I have found. I'm noticing a lot of the usual stuff around sale time with the usual scamming, begging and greedy crap and it would be nice to encourage newcomers who get caught up with generosity as well not to fall prey to this :)
MAHAYO has been super-effective! YAY to everyone that has supported the effort to stop naked code drops for bots or anonymous users to snatch. Thank-you!!

But we still have a pretty serious problem... until Steam institutes a system to show exactly which account has redeemed a gift (unlike GOG or Desura or even bundle sites like IndieGala - thank-you rong44 for exposing Anasto as the two GOG scam accounts coughning and team_dota_2). So I am asking for a bit more from everyone...yeah, it's kind of like work to give a gift but let's stamp out the trolls!

SOTT... (I kind of like that it's a play on drunkenness ;-p)

Stamp Out The Trolls by asking for their Steam profile before you actually gift them. If their profile is private, don't gift them until they make it public. This is just common sense before doing any trading, why not make it common sense before gifting? Then check their Steamtrade profile... yeah, this is not foolproof but it WILL prevent the Anasto's of the world with huge Steam game lists from collecting tons of games on one Steam profile. The scammers will have to create more profiles and manage them (less Steam rep, less Steamtrade rep...yada...) so yeah, not fool proof but it's a start. These GOG profiles from poor countries/sob stories won't be able to hide their massive game lists if you ask before gifting. And if they they don't redeem your gift ASAP on that profile, then you can report them in the scammer list for trading/selling your gift.

MAHAYO U SOTT!

So this is what MAHAYO means! I keep seeing it everywhere, and Momo even tried to get me to use it when I first joined, but I didn't know. I guess I could have just asked. xD
Good stuff.

Any reference to drunkeness wins points from me. :P

Momo1991: MAHAYO is more than thwarting bots... it's a state of mind that is about relationships. When we communicate with each other, we make connections...amiright?

When we verbally (well here it's written but you get my point) acknowledge each other, those connections are strengthened (or weakened, as the case may be- hopefully those weakening bonds learn to behave differently).

MAHAYO is more than not dropping codes for bots... it's about celebrating our humanness. In the end, this is all we truly have.

~fortune cookie philosopher Momo over and out....at least for the evening ;-)~
Mahayo, my friend Momo, I think it's great what you are doing here for the community.

Indeed we can make the best of this experience by going Zen and celebrate our human interactions as they are.

I have looked beyond my soul and I have seen Mahayo. We should embrace our new Mahayo selves and transcend into greater gogness.

Now this is what we were talking about a few days ago . :)

I also suggested this :

- link of the GOG wiki user page ( with Barefoot essential installed )
- must own at least 15 games on the user account ( free games or games that featured in any indie bundle offer don't count )

As I told you on Steam Momo, I still fucking love this! It is pure genius! I'm going to take all this to heart for sure and pass this along to as many people as I can! This is truly what this place needs and I can't thank you enough for it either! I had no ideal that Anasto was back yet again! That guy really needs to go! I'm beyond shocked he still hasn't been Banned yet from Steam! What does it take to get someone Prema Banned from there?! Especially with a guy that has a lot of Stolen Games in his Account?!

At any rate, down with all the Trolls on here and I truly hope this place with the Future Updates will get rid of them once and for all!
It's been a few months since this thread was resurrected....

Please don't feed bots or trolls with free-range codes, peeps - please keep the forum friendly and at least speak to a human being. Yeah, we can't stop every scammer but at least we can talk to them live and in person by making them answer us when we offer a gift. Does it make a difference? Maybe. Dunno..but human connection is what makes us human ;-p

It's been a few months since this thread was resurrected and since we've got a bunch of new peeps, I thought it might be a good idea to remind and/or educate peeps about MAHAYO!
