I have a net book computer and I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any games that will work on it. Here are my computer details:

You can play Fallout Series, Sacred, Divine Divinity, all DOS based games like Duke Nukem, Redneck Rampage, Rise of the Triad etc..
Most of games on GOG will run on it. Mainly 2D games. Only a selected few 3D games can run on it. (I have basicaly the same machine).
I run perfecly :
Stronghold series
Tropico Reloaded
Commandos series
Caesar III
Fallout series
and a lot of other games.
What type of games do you like so we can recommand you some ?
(Edit : Wow 100 rep !)

Your biggest problem is memory. DOSbox games ideally need at least 1GB to guarantee smooth running. They're emulated, you see. So they need a lot more processing power than they would running natively under DOS.
Windows based games may actually run better for this reason, even if they're a lot newer.
Also we have netbook playability thread.

DOSBox doesn't need 1 GB., it needs much less, however it needs a lot of cpu power.

This is from personal experience. Upgrading to 1.5GB made the difference between unplayably jerky and running smoothly. The RAM problem in the OP's case is further compounded by the fact that the GPU will be utilising it also. Based upon that I find DOSbox games difficult to recommend.
well then it isn't dosbox that needs the 1GB.
It is the OS + Videocard + dosbox.
DOSBox requires 69-100 mb to run at my place.
but maybe it is different on windows
I don't recommend DOSBOX games for Netbooks too. Performance is too unpredictable, and at times shoddy. I'm using a Netbook with an Intel Atom too, and the only DOSBOX game I have that actually works decently is Heroes of Might and Magic 2 - and that's only because it is a turn based game. Even Jagged Alliance runs like ass.
Dosbox on my netbook works for less demanding Dos games (e.g. Syndicate works fine), but it can be a bit jerky for things released just prior to the switch to win95.
Any game released before 2004 will probably work (e.g. Bloodrayne 1 will work on my netbook if I use 3dAnalyze, Bloodrayne 2 won't).

I had a proper video card. That wasn't a problem for me. Lack of memory was a problem though. DOSbox might not require much to run unto itself, but it requires substantially more when running some DOS games.
Maybe the problem with DOSBox games here could be the Atom itself. You know, it's a SoC-type of CPU mostly designed for power-efficiency, and to me emulation doesn't seem the most suited application for this kind of device....

Qbix: DOSBox requires 69-100 mb to run at my place.

That is, if you're running very basic applications, or even just pure DOSBox. For a game that asked for 16MB RAM back in the days (say, Duke Nukem or Ultima VII), you do need a lot more than 100MB RAM to play decently (I can't tell the exact amount though).
Edit: and yes, I'm talking Windows, this might definitely differ on different systems.
Edit 2: wait a second, what the hell, did I just try to tell Qbix about DOSBox?! O.o You should throw a shoe at me for assuming to know more than you! But seriously, based on personal experience, 100MB RAM is totally out of the question here...although I know DOSBox feeds on CPU power.

What I wouldn't give for a 10.1 inch 1366x768 ion netbook.... The Acer 532g may be what I want but I can't find anything stating for certain what the screen resolution is.
Add to that all the Ion1 systems seem to be 11.6 inch, and any 10.1 inch systems are stuck with 1024x600 resolution.
Come on Acer give me the netbook that I want!
(Note I want a netbook due to the small form factor and battery life. I'd mainly use it as a PuTTY terminal when I'm on site, but I want to be able to play video's, flash, and small games)
If the Acer ends up not having the screen resolution I'll probably have to forgo the Ion and grab the HD version of the Dell Mini10. Would give me everything but Ion and a solid build.
