StingingVelvet: KQ7 has massive issues with 64bit systems I believe, and though GOG goes on Vista/32bit right now that might be something they are working on.
As for this release I will ask the same thing I did for Space Quest: any reason to get this over the retail release I already have? I want to support GOG but I can just buy a game I do not own like Phantasmagoria, but if these are improved somehow I will get them.

That's what I do, I bought Phantasmagoria and when Phantasmagoria II, King's Quest Mask of Eternity and Gabriel Knight III come out(if they ever do), I'll buy them, just like you I already have the prior games of them. Any reason to buy GOG's?Well, if you have the 1997 King's Quest Collection, you already have everything just download the fan made installer, if you have the 2006 collection and a 64 bit computer, try the fan made patch if it does not work or you can't get it to work by DOSBox I recommend buying GOG's collection. If any person hasn't played the King's Quest games I highly recommend it, for $9.99, its a good deal.
About the "Is this the cd version" or "talkie" related questions, watch the trailer.
GOG should put A BIG SIGN that says:
"THESE ARE THE TALKIE VERSION, WATCH TRAILER PLEASE"
Trailers are free to watch ;p
These games represent the best years of Sierra and their best talents especially King's Quest VI. It would have been nice if anyone buying this collection would have played the first two games before diving into King's Quest V, I mean its the return of adventure loving witch killing item hoarder collector cap wearing freaking Graham, play King's Quest IV you'll see not even death...
