tb87670: Seems the internet sends no notion of sarcasm. I would still rather send my money to an official charity personally than to a game company. That's a middleman in the works.

Donate to them or some other charity directly if you don't want a game and you would prefer the tax writeoff to go to yourself instead of popcap.
Personally, I don't have a lot of money to give away. I do want to help during these kinds of things, but when I donate something small like $20 to a charity like Red Cross (which I did for Hurricane Katrina), they end up spending all that money (and then some) on all of the future letters they send me afterwards trying to get me to donate more money. I'd rather have a middleman than end up with a mailbox stuffed full of letters asking for more money that surely must have cost them more than I originally donated.
