Hey everyone, sorry if this sort of thread is a faux pas, I'm new here.

Anyway, I've just gotten some money I can spend on GOG, and I've spent most of it with around ten dollars left, and I'm looking for some help for what I ought to spend it on.

I already own a number of games on here (AoW, SMAC, BG, MOM, HOMM, TLJ, Arcanum, I think a few more) and have just purchased Planescape, the Fallouts, Disciples 2, Tropico and Sacred Gold. I've seen a few games that look interesting - The Witcher looks fantastic but I'm not sure if my built-in laptop video card would run it.

I love any games with an impressive story, immersive world, and unique (and GOOD) gameplay. Anyone have any games to recommend for the last of my money?
Go with Gothic 2 awesome story and a decent RPG. Plus the graphics should work on any PC/Laptop

Painkiller: Black edition. It has a gun that shoots ninja stars and lightning, Need i say more? And it doesn't have much of a story, but gameplay wise it's alot of fun, and will be a blast to go through the 40+ levels, with your crazy guns that have 3 different firing modes each.

I looked up the required specs on Wiki and I've got everything except the video card, which is just some built-in Intel thing which can hardly run Civ 4
I you like RTS games with unique gameplay and great story I recommend Sacrifice.
Gothic II is a solid pick, but just as I recommend to everyone who makes one of these threads, get Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive. Probably the best adventure game ever made. You will not regret it.

Is best to play the others first? I have them all, but can't seem to get up the enthusiasm to play through MM...and I'm a real stickler for going through these things in order normally.
Duke nukem 3D

Who needs DNF when we have this.

nah. won't properly run witcher. i installed it once on intel gpu and i got shitty graphics and like 5 fps.

gabriel knight... if you don't mind shitty graphics.
serious sam: imagine yourself versus an army in a fast paced action game.
farcry: The opposite of serious sam, pretty much a first person splinter cell game.
I'm gonna chime in with The Last Express.

Unique adventure from the guy who created Prince of Persia. All rotoscoped (hand-drawn over real footage) and takes place in real-time during a journey on the Orient Express. I believe there is a demo.

The Witcher is indeed all kinds of awesome, but I think you are correct in your assumption that your integrated video card would have trouble with it.
If you want to try something new/different, buy one of the Space Rangers games, which are wide-open sandbox games set in space with much to do. I've just finished SR2 after playing it for a week and a half for several hours a day and I found it to be a very addictive and enjoyable game.
It may not have a very good, entangling story, but it has an immersive world and very, very solid gameplay. If you want to try it, there's a demo available

If you're looking for something more traditional, I second gyokzoli's recommendation of Sacrifice. It sure has an interesting story and unique gameplay (and also, it is hilarious).

If I may say so - you, Sir, have extremely good taste.

I gave it some thought and since honesty requires that I recommend you only something I know, have beaten, is great and fits your criteria,
EDIT: here are 2 titles:
If you want a dark, dystopian world that you can immerse yourself into but ultimately serves as a background to a hard platformer - try Abe's Oddysee.
If, finally, you're looking for a pure adventure game - from what I've seen from the first two installments (haven't played the third yet) you may want to consider the Gabriel Knight series. They have their flaws, no doubt, but conceptually *feel* above average, even if they don't reach the glorious heights of TLJ (which is something you should play ASAP, regardless of whatever else you decide to buy !).

I second Drlstvaan and Space Rangers 2, look into that one, it is a great game with many suprises. It mostly takes place in space with turn-based combat, but, there is many mini-games in it, such as RTS robot warfare, fun text-based adventures, and arcade (asteroid) style play. Plus there is a bunch of ships and equipment to upgrade your ship, and your pilot has skills which you can level up too. Seriously, if you are looking for a game that is different then most others, fun, and one where you can loose many hours to, Space Rangers 2 is a great bet.
Have Fun! =)
