would red dwarf make a good idea for a game????

darthcobley: would red dwarf make a good idea for a game????

It would have to be an adventure game. Also, it would have to have either no speech at all (subtitles only), or have the original actors do the voice acting. No matter what, I think it'd be hard to adequately replicate the humor from the TV show.
Telltale might be able to do the game but they'd relly need rob & doug to do the writing and I'm not sure if they're on speaking terms
I think it'd be cool if there was a an fps mini-game in it too, for whenever you had to come across the sort of scenes where they had to use the guns in the show.. yeah...
also, perhaps a scuttlebug dog fighting scenes.. or maybe just piloting scenes.. that'd be neat too.
There's a p&p RPG. It's apparently not bad! Has plenty of notes on making your own Red Dwarf-style characters, if you don't want to play the canon ones.
I don't know how worthwhile it is compared to a more generic light system, though - Risus would probably be a better bet, or something equivalently simple and wacky.
FANTASTIC NEWS!!!

I've posted about this here before... but wait! That article, Finally we have a date when it will show itself!
Which means we will have it on TV here in Aus about around.. June? Cool nonetheless.
FUC KING WIC KED !!!! !!!! !!!!
Damn easter will be a top time of year, new red dwarf, new dr who and whatever I get for my birthday.
Oh no, I live in Australia though, we'll have to wait months for it to be on TV!! If only there was some form of global information network through which I could obtain a digital copy of the media. Oh woe is me!
Hang on a tic, there's this thing called the internet and this other thing called rampant piracy! not like the ABC would lose out if I were hypothetically to engage in illegal activity (which I never would because it's wrong and supports hippy communist terrorists!), they don't have ads and they're supported by tax revenue anyway so it doesn't matter if anyone tapes, downloads or completely ignores stuff on there
No Aliasalpha don't do it!
If helping a hippy communist terrorist does not stop you...
!!!!Think of the Children!!!!

Well, according to himself in the episode "Polymorph", his Shami Kebab Diablo is like eating molten lava, and yet he consumes them with every indication of enjoyment ;-)
