It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

One moderator of GOG wrote in the twitch chat during OutStarWalker's stream:
"I'm actually watching the stream through the 0.2.0.609 early build of.... TAA DAAA DUUUUM... Galaxy Client."

2 infos:
- 0.2.0..... seems like it's gonna be out in summer 2015 at this rate :)
- Ability to browse Internet or watch twitch streams implemented directly in the galaxy client

Gotta love snitching around.... :)
Yay Twitch...

Hey nice, it seems that it is working, keep going GOG !

It's always better than the new Steam "broadcasting" feature, that would suck if Gabe gets also the monopoly over streaming market ;)
Also mentioned, but it was mentioned before in the Q&A live stream:
"public tests of client beta are.... coming soon"
Galaxy. Ugggh...

The reason I was locked out of Witcher Adventure Game several times this past weekend. On my "drm-free" game.
Speaking of Twitch and Galaxy, I just re-checked the Community Q&A (around 51:30)

http://www.twitch.tv/gogcom/b/578119158

It is my understanding that the plan was to release a closed beta for forumites by the end of the year, I wonder if I got that right?
Are there any screenshots if the Galaxy client?
What about patching? EDIT: I should probably re-watch the Q&A stream, probably something said there.

When I saw Steam added this feature, I just laughed, oh sure it's likely gonna be a huge success but I'll be playing as always and not spectating ;)
So ingame overlay and browser, achievements, friendslist, chat, public profiles. Still wondering whether they'll actually bother to track time played.

Seems like a feature thats pretty trivial to add so I don't see why not...

Hmm, I can't put my finger on it, but that does sound quite familiar somehow...

Trivial yes, but tracking game time would most likely require the client to be running, which isn't exactly something you can count on when you're a store focused on DRM-free gaming. So any time tracked is likely to be quite inaccurate unless you use the client all the time.

To whom is it inaccurate? If the end-user wants to track his playing time, he can choose to use the client at all times when he plays a GOG game. If he doesn't care for the tracker (like I don't), then he could just as well not use it (for single-player games at least).

If you meant it may be an inaccurate tool for GOG or a game publisher to spy on how much users play a certain game... meh.

Steam game time tracker seems quite inaccurate anyway. It claims I have played e.g. TeamFortress Classic for 107 hours, and TeamFortress 2 for 130 hours. Errr, I have played TFC quite a few years longer than TF2... Quite unreliable, if you ask me. Or then it has some strange logic with its tracking.
