Stardock has fallen a long way since GalCiv 2. I never imagined he could be such an egotistical jerk.

Beyond this his email reply pretty much sums up why I think many of the successful in this country are self entitled wankers with an overly inflated sense of their own self worth an privilege.

Given some of the comments I have read from this dude, I can't say I am surprised. If turns out to be true, I hope he leaves the gaming spectrum forever.

From what was filed to court, I do think she took things out of proportions regardless of whether he's an asshole or not - that does not make him guilty of sexual harassment. The fact that the most she could mention, was him touching her hair (big deal) and her receiving Youtube vids, I don't think it was all that bad. I just think he's an immature clown who does that sort of thing with everyone and she simply took it personally. At least he's being honest about it.

Also, her "evidence" exaggerates matters - having to fill out that list, was one of those typical Facebook things and everyone and their cat gets those. Despite what her lawyer claims, he would not see what she ticked but the "game" gives a score at the end so no, he didn't directly ask her if she did anal before. It's utterly nonsense.

Because of this, I'm taking this entire case with a huge pile of salt - if she has to grab at ridiculous and exaggerated examples to prove her point, it makes me wonder if she really has a point. That he's a prick is a given, but it's still not illegal last time I checked.

I completely agree that it makes what he quotes worse. But the quotes can make people ignore the linked page and automatically make assumptions. They are made quite often on the internet it seems.

I think the page deserves to be read, Then we can all hate on Wardell.

He acted badly and then acted worse when she politely asked him to stop, that's the motherfucking definition of sexual harassment.

Indeed, and anyone who doesn't find even the stuff he admitted to to be sexual harassment needs to talk to a woman with self-esteem sometime soon.

I have to say that's a pathetic counter suit, Elemental had so much wrong with it that there's no way that it's the fault of one woman in Marketing. I really don't think it was her idea to go against the "Gamer's Bill of Rights" that their own representative (I'm not sure it's the same guy) had made and forced a poor man's version of steam on people that wanted to play it, release it in a sorry state that doesn't live up to a game over a decade old.

I'll leave the sexual harassment thing for the courts since I don't have all the evidence and I don't really trust Tabloid Gaming news sites.

There is a lot of borderline behavior that may or may not constitute sexual harassment. However, once an employee calls out such behavior as making them uncomfortable and asks that it stop, then any further behavior along those lines most certainly constitutes sexual harassment and a hostile work environment. The e-mail response from Brad utterly fucks him over in this case- it will be open and shut once all the required motions are done with. And if/when the lawsuit of Stardock against Miseta is deemed retaliation then they're going to be looking at paying out far, far more than the initial $25,000 in requested damages (to put things in perspective Fry's Electronics just recently had to pay out $2.3 million in a sexual harassment case).

For my part, after seeing this I'll now be boycotting all Stardock games until Brad is no longer involved with the company.

In this case you don't have to, all of this has been entered in discovery during the course of the case.

still my judgement affects nothing, especially since I gave up on Stardock for not making quality products anymore so it really wouldn't be a boycott.
