Well, Armored Princess is essentially King's Bounty, with all the same bells and whistles, just in a different setting, and you get to play a chick, and eventually get a pet dragon, and a pegasus. I do think it handles troops a bit better, but something about it just isn't quite as weirdly enjoyable as King's Bounty is in its cheesiest moments. If you've played King's Bounty, Armored Princess just feels like "more of the same" despite the different environments. It's not a bad thing if you loved the original, but it makes it hard to really draw a line between the two of them and say that one is better than the other. I guess I would recommend King's Bounty, purely from a personal taste standpoint, but they're both solid.
Armored Princess follows King's Bounty, story-wise, so you could just pick it up farther down the road after you've finished the first, which I promise you will take a long time anyway.

Anyone having trouble installing the game?
I've downloaded it 3 times via the browser), once with the downloader and always ended up with a corrupted file (setup-kings-bounty-2)...
Any two cents?

Not what I was expecting, but hey, I've heard great things. Guess I'll have to save up for that desktop I wanted first.

Delixe: I know a lot of people would be happy to see Crysis DRM-free especially as a lot of us have the hardware to play it now.

I still dont. D:
I can run all games at max except Crysis and GTA4 I think...
i know games shouldnt be compared but.. how this game compared to homm3?
Music, sounds, campaign, monster, items, spells do they have something interesting, or they are just bland(overall) ?
You have no castle therefore you ave no economy in term of gathering resources from mines. However you have money and three kinds of crystals (used for gaining and upgrading abilities).
As you don't have any castle your army is not dependent on the economy (except for money). It is dependent on your stat called leadership which increases each level (if you choose so) or by selecting such ability. So you can't have stronger army than your leadership level is (essentialy higher for melee characters).
This limits you in choice of opponents during the game so you will have to postpone some of the combats to higher levels.
As for the game experience, the game is more story and quest oriented (presented via text). Also there are no AI players travelling through map acting as your opponents. This is a solely singleplayer game with you travelling on the map, choosing quests, fighting, levelling and uncovering the story. Step by step (or island o island) to the final combat.
So imagine this as an RPG with HOMM 3 interface. The fun comes from the right balance of the abilities, choice of creatures (gathered in different places on the map) and strategic turn based combat similar to HOMM 5 (i.e. in 3D using hexes). There are no AI opponents to battle, there are no castles to own and no mines to own. So essentially you travel, you fight, you develop, you fight etc. And it works fine.
After I finished playing King's Bounty: the Legend I was looking forward to Armored Princess. However, I did not play it that much as it feels the same and becomes very repetitive (the same for playing King's Bounty again).

I also have the same problem...
This is easily one of the best games of the last 10 years. It's so much, much, much, muuuuuuuch better than any HoMM (in singleplayer campaign).

serados20: I also have the same problem...

Hopefully you guys all get this one:
I had this problem when I queued it up (bin1 for me though). I strongly suggest using the downloader, at least for this part:
Start the installer. See which file it complains about
Delete that file
Re-add KB to the downloader
Let it download the new file
Repeat as needed
Had to redownload bin1, but worked and installed after that (yay for booby art!)
Third purchase of KB (originally Impulse, got a bundle with AP on Steam, now getting here because I like GoG and support this kind of release).
I was really obsessive about the original on the Sega Megadrive (think it was on PC as well, but I only had it on the Megadrive.) No idea why I haven't bought this yet seeing as it's been out a while.
Except my backlog is now long enough that they can pretty much just stop making games and I'll never run out of them to play. Arg.
Ah, unexpected, this game is what I needed.

RSHabroptilus: If I didn't know any better, I'd suspect this game of being about big tits

Hmm... definitely what I needed.

What? Where? Don't joke with serious stuff man. If there was Max Payne here I'd be crying tears of happiness or something.
