Being on Linux here provides the means to (pretty easily) create a standalone patch.
Wine + UnionFS would give you only the files that were changed.
Registry in Wine is a flat text file, making a comparison between the pre/post patch very easy to do.
Which, obviously, completely undermines CDPs attempts to stop pirates getting the patches. If the community can make a standalone patch and release it, the pirates can get it too.
