Not much for me this week. I'm thinking about Gorky 17, but it's not supported by Win7 or 8, so I don't know...

And then I'm curious about JA2: Wild Fire and Jack Orlando: A Cinematic Adventure, but the reviews are not very promissing...
YEEEAHHH!

F4LL0UT: I wonder if we're ever gonna get any more TopWare games. What about Robo Rumble? Shouldn't they have the rights to this one?
I wouldn't hold my breath for two reasons:

1) They haven't released a single game here ever since Two Worlds II back in April 2013.
2) They haven't even released the game on Steam, where they have a significantly higher number of games there.

Random_Coffee: I don't have any of these games. What is worth getting in the promo?
I only have Enclave and the Two Worlds games.

I played through and loved Enclave. It's like a shooter in a fantasy setting, at least that's how I played it, with ranged weapons and magic, as melee was a bit too hectic for me. The game is divided into levels, and in between levels you can choose from different characters and equipment you unlocked during the campaign, so the further you go, the more choice you have on how to tackle a level. Playing the assassin proves too difficult in this level? Try the druid then. And this time equip her with that other staff etc. Apart from defeating your opponents, you also have to collect secret gold pots in the levels, the more you find the more stuff you can "buy" in between levels. You don't ever lose the money you spend though, it only defines how much equipment you can take with you, so what you get you have at your disposal for the rest of the campaign. Oh, and there are two campaigns, one for the light side, one for the dark side. Generally I think the game can be quite challenging; I played it on Easy difficulty and it was still fun but more manageable. Easy also has the advantage that once you reach a mid-level checkpoint, you restart from there instead of having to restart the whole level in case you die, because there is no saving - you have to beat a level in one sitting (they aren't too long, probably around 10-20 minutes each?).

Two Worlds is a bit similar to Divinity 2 in gameplay, only - from what I've seen - much much worse in terms of quality. The story-telling is a confusing mess and the character models are butt-ugly with weird proportions, like tiny heads on immensely broad shoulders and such. Well, I admit I only played the first for half an hour and quit. The second is supposed to be better and apparantly it has a very interesting character building or magic system, and some parodistic humor. I was put off by the intro video, but I haven't really given it a chance yet.

No.
(And I used to like that game a lot back in times)

phaolo: or 2160 worth too?
Yes if you enjoyed 2150.

I'm perfectly aware of their inactivity concerning releases and if you look at all their games they have ever published it's no surprise: there simply aren't many, especially excluding ones where they were only in charge of regional distribution. But that just makes it weirder if a good game they (probably) own isn't available here. They are the only publisher I can see listed for this game. And if this were one of those cases where the developer kept the rights it should be with CD Projekt now.

P1na: Remember, remember
Not that it has much weight coming from someone only missing the pinball game, but still.

Potzato: Ok, but did Topware fix its mess with the transcripted devs ?
If not, they still shouldn't count on my money.
Edit : and the n1ñapple, again :-s

Crosmando: This publisher is evil (redundant I know)
Yes, remember^^^

We dont seem to have had new games from other publishers as well ie Activision or Ubisoft for a while as well - got to be wondering whats happening ......

Well, they publish the following games on Steam, that are still not here:

3Switched
Battle vs Chess
Chicken Shoot Gold
Heli Heroes
Iron Sky: Invasion
KnightShift
Planets Under Attack
Pressure
World War II: Panzer Claws
World War III: Black Gold
X-Blades

Maybe GOG doesn't want to bring them in, because they believe they are crap. Maybe Topware doesn't want to bother to bring them here. Who knows? At any rate, these are quite a few games that are still not on GOG.

^ Indeed.

Title of the link: How Topware screwed an indie studio

The short story is that they sold an indie game without giving the developers of the game any royalties hoping that they'd go bankrupt and thus, not retaliate. That's theft btw.

Wouldn't feel comfortable supporting these guys with my money given what it would likely be used for, but that's me.

We deserve better publishers.

Damn, wasn't aware those were on Steam. In case of at least a few of those I was sure they were only a local distributor at some point but couldn't publish them digitally. Now I'm all the more confused. Especially since Two Worlds 2 came here despite being a much newer game.

And not just on Steam. GamersGate, ShinyLoot and even freaking Desura have some of those games.

Just noticed that... too bad! Although the user "FrankTheKiD" (3rd page on reviews) says it works for him.. but then it would be mentioned in the system requirements i guess... anyway. It seems there is nothing in this sale for me today..

Wait, wasn't the A.I. problem fixed now? What else is not good in this release? I'm thinking about picking up Earth 2140.

I have the GOG version of Gorky 17 and it works without any problems on Win7, great game by the way.
