Bump. So to speak.
The Carmageddon games. I'm not quite sure why I haven't finished them yet, but I had a lot of fun with both of them.

I assume you mean the 2 that are currently on GOG because there IS a 3rd:

Which gets a bad rep but I think is a fine addition to the series...

Yes, I was referring to 1+2. As for 3, I haven't played much of it. Only a bit when it was originally released and I remember that it didn't click to me. As for its bad rep, well, that's what happens when a game isn't developed by the original team. Oh, and when the original team considers it a flaming poo.

Think Golden Sun Dark Dawn on Nintendo DS is a game for RPG fans. I've never played japanese role playing games (except Pokemon) but Dark Dawn is really really good. Funny characters, interesting plot and easy battle system to learn.
I think sandboxes-like games and roguelikes have that characteristic, that you don't need to finish them to feel good when playing (off course I am talking about ones that can be finished ;) )
That way I like:
- FTL
- Don't Starve
- King of Dragon Pass (once I was very close to the end, I have been king already :P)
- Neoscavenger (it's still early access I think, the interface is terrible in the usabiltiy way, but good is that its the same for all of the layers of game, AND the game has great experience, I recommend it after all)
My thread lives.. hurrah!

Resident evil revelations raid mode keeps my busy.

Edit: raid mode I mean. It is fun and even so fun that I could puke.

I don't personally know anyone who can beat FTL. I thought I beat it once, but then I didn't. And then I thought I beat it, but then I didn't. After I discovered what I had to do to actually beat it on easy mode, I haven't played it again. Nonetheless, I still put in plenty of game time and absolutely loved it. It's a good one.

I seem to not finish games these days. So pretty much anything I recommend I haven't beaten. I recently wrote a review for Risen 2 that said that I haven't beaten it, got bored and annoyed with combat, but I really love the game. I might start all over and build my character very differently. I get cocky and put as much as I can into silver-tongued-ness and then end up losing big-time in combat b/c of it. You just can't do that in this game.
Trine and Torchlight. Interestingly enough, I got stuck at the final bosses in both games. In Trine, it was just too difficult, and I ended up just watching the outro on youtube and called it a day.
Same with Torchlight. Apparently, how I was levelling up my character isn't helpful for fighting the end boss. I could grind and level myself up in the required areas, but I can't be bothered with having to do that.

They're still incredibly pretty, well built games, though, and I recommend them both :D.
