Where's the rest of the Painkiller games? =P

They will be released immediately after Privateer 2.
I don't want more shitty games in GOG catalogue, so Painkiller sequels are off limits. They specifically told me they don't wanna upset me with shitty Painkiller sequels so they won't be released. ever.

Now wait a minute here, let's be fair

Yeah, some "expansions" sucked but Recurring Evil was pretty damn cool, I'd love to see that here

That was my thought. I haven't played them, but I've heard that the developers of those games didn't get what Painkiller was all about. Which IMHO is astonishing as Painkiller was extremely easy to understand. It was mostly mindless violence, with interesting arenas and weapons. Probably a bit more complicated in terms of execution, but simple in terms of final design.

OTOH, it looks like the HD remake is going to be better, hopefully they'll either leave it at that, or make new Painkiller games with proper pacing.

Please no, keep that garbage out of GOG. I might be judging it overly harshly, but I hated that game. It had some pretty serious game design problems with it. The basic idea was fine, but I didn't care for the execution.

Hmm, you are free to set up your deck as you like, it has a proper adventure mode, where you have to earn the cards you can use, and it has some nice tournament functions. What else did you miss? There were a few card bugs, but all of them have been corrected with the fan patch :)

It's not only that. The devs of the sequels were so freaking lazy they didn't even take time to think about some nice weapons or opponents. One of the new monsters is looking like a cardboard model... they were so lazy they didn't even make 3D model, just put some 2D creature into the game. So imagine how the rest of them must feel like.

I still have a copy, perhaps I'll give it another chance. I hated the way that I would get creamed early on in the game before I had enough decent cards with which to protect myself. And I seemed to routinely run into hard adversaries from pretty much the start of the game.

Compared with Dual of the Planeswalker, I just didn't like it at all.

I loved that game. It worked well for its intended purpose. Probably one of the best typing games of all times.
