monkeydelarge: Maybe because Valve thinks it would be more profitable for them to side with Microsoft?
rtcvb32: Well Microsoft's 360
WAS doing better for a long time til Sony cleaned up their act...
I do appreciate the bold WAS, however, Microsoft didn't do anything better, in fact, i believe they have never do; they just were smart enough to take advantage of Sony mistakes. What i do believe is that port a PC game into Xbox is easier than port it to PS3.
About all PS2 compatibility discussion, i don't get what is the problem. There has been never an universal console that runs games from other platforms (Although, a PS3 with custom firmware can release all CELL's power) and Sony will not be the one taking the dark patch; not profitable; after all, they are doing business while we get the fun.
I found more enjoyable to play PS2 games in the PS2 system, rather than in the PS3; it give me some kind of nostalgia.
Shadowstalker16: Since when has Valve ever really expressed any love for any platform? They just love their job and hate the people who benefit from their job. They hate them so much they refuse to speak to them. Either through press releases or in way of support for broken games.
Mmmm, broken games? I have enjoyed all Valve games i could with no major problems with bugs/glitch. You know which company do release broken games? Ubisoft. Ghost Recon Future Soldier needed how many updates after being released? What? Assassin's Creed what? Ubisoft are just a shameful company.
Valve's games aren't the problem, I found the company policies like the problem.
Crewdroog: I used to be a PC elitist and then I played FO3 on PS3 and I shed that hate.
For me, was Killzone 2 in the PS3. At first i kinda hate the game due the lack of mouse/keyboard, but after i get used to the DS3 i start seeing the mouse/keyboard annoy hahaha.
