I don't hate consoles... I just hate that newer consoles aren't backwards compatible. Means a lot of games/content/saves are locked to a particular generation, and if those memory cards or dvd drive fails then it basically spells death for that console.

Like a lot of games on the original Xbox, Microsoft dropped it as soon as the 360 was out and there's a lot of games that are in limbo. Games i wouldn't mind playing if i could but three DVD drives failed on various Xboxes i had; Although it was the ethernet port dying that really sealed doom on my console :(
Because mo consoles, mo problems.

Seriously, I have no idea.

Maybe because Valve thinks it would be more profitable for them to side with Microsoft?

Well Microsoft's 360 WAS doing better for a long time til Sony cleaned up their act...

From the firmware, but I think only the older consoles supported it in the first place, not the 'slim' ones.
Since when has Valve ever really expressed any love for any platform? They just love their job and hate the people who benefit from their job. They hate them so much they refuse to speak to them. Either through press releases or in way of support for broken games.

I do appreciate the bold WAS, however, Microsoft didn't do anything better, in fact, i believe they have never do; they just were smart enough to take advantage of Sony mistakes. What i do believe is that port a PC game into Xbox is easier than port it to PS3.

About all PS2 compatibility discussion, i don't get what is the problem. There has been never an universal console that runs games from other platforms (Although, a PS3 with custom firmware can release all CELL's power) and Sony will not be the one taking the dark patch; not profitable; after all, they are doing business while we get the fun.

I found more enjoyable to play PS2 games in the PS2 system, rather than in the PS3; it give me some kind of nostalgia.

Mmmm, broken games? I have enjoyed all Valve games i could with no major problems with bugs/glitch. You know which company do release broken games? Ubisoft. Ghost Recon Future Soldier needed how many updates after being released? What? Assassin's Creed what? Ubisoft are just a shameful company.

Valve's games aren't the problem, I found the company policies like the problem.

For me, was Killzone 2 in the PS3. At first i kinda hate the game due the lack of mouse/keyboard, but after i get used to the DS3 i start seeing the mouse/keyboard annoy hahaha.

yeah I'm with you on the controller over keyboard.
Valve hates Sony and send its zealots to hack them and destroy them :v

(I wonder how many fanboys will downvote me :P )
