Miaghstir: Ah, yes, the wonders of "hide file extensions for known file types". I always forget that annoyance as it's pretty much the first thing I change on a new Windows installation.
Yup, that's the first thing I do on a new computer too.

I have the same problem as well. The downloader has already reach 14.99GB which is the size of TW2 GOG file. However, when I checked the output folder there are no executable file but 8 BIN files that worth 2GB each. The downloader is still dowloading which is very odd. Please someone help. Thanks.

There should be 9 bin files; 7 at 2 GB each, 1 at 1.3 GB and 1 at 500 KB, as well as one exe at 2.3 MB. Try quitting and restarting the downloader if it's stalling (close the window, then right-click its icon in the taskbar to quit).

Also, way to necro a topic from nearly two years ago.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yap it did work thank you so much. I just bought TW2 and it is my first time to use GOG. That is how i came to found this post which is almost two years old.
I dont see any gog games showing up in the downloader. What am i supposed to do? Download each witcher 2 file separately or what? Why cant i download the lot in one file?

First and foremost, I would advise against resurrecting ancient threads. :)

As for your issue, please follow this guide, just in case:
