MonstaMunch: Yeah, that's what I was referring to too. I'm happy to pay for a bit of DLC here and there, but a level editor should be a standard feature for games like worms, and there's no way in hell that I'm paying extra for it. It's not a matter of money, it's a matter of not getting raped by their greed.
mistermumbles: Wow. That's terrible. (Good thing I got that free level editor with Worms 2. ;)) Not that I was terribly interested in this new incarnation anyway since it looks like total ass to me.
I've just noticed that this now seems to have changed. They've put "includes level editor" in big red letters on the page for the main game. Seems we weren't the only people who had a problem with it previously not being included :)
Edit: They've also changed the info on the DLC. Previously it said all the levels it includes would be out by the end of '12, but it now says June '13. It has also removed the bit about the level editor in the DLC, presumably because they've now seen sense and included it in the main game. I'm starting to think this might be worth buying afterall.
