Steps on windows 10

1- Log out and close GOG galaxy! Important!!!

2- Go to C:\Users\<Insert YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Local\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed\steam_ca27391f-2675-49b1-92c0-896d43afa4f8

(you will need to view hidden files to get access to this folder sometimes)

3- delete all steam files in there. Don't delete the folder.

4- Go to github link in this forum thread github.com/ABaumher/galaxy-integration-steam/releases/tag/Beta

5- Download zip and extract files.

6- Then paste files into that folder above.

7- login to gog galaxy

8- go to settings and integrations

9- insert your steam user id and password

10- complete authentication verification on your mobile app...

and boom you now have your whole steam lib in there... mine went from 500 to 900 !

It worked for me also, and just to mention, my Ubisoft account gets disconnected as soon it connects, and Origin account doesn't even reach server... But this is for another topic.

It even have a bat script for beginners !

I don't know why it's hard for gog dev to make it work inside gog galaxy. It's a big selling point ! And it's breaking everytime !

This github page should almost be a pinned post in the Galaxy forum. If I can't gather all my games in one place for convenience sake, Galaxy as a launcher is just another piece of pointless software.

A big thank you to OP. This fixed it for me, and i have been banging my head for a few days now. Suddently GOG galaxy broke, tried everytrhing, even re-intstalled the darn thing but to no avail. I tried the above solution and it finally worked.

Define safe to use.

The plugin shows a login page that pretends to be official steam page, but is really just a bad knockoff. There's even typos. It requires you to put in your steam guard code which Steam App explicitly warns you NEVER to provide to third party pages and services. The login page in the addon is very much a phishing page.

Is this cludge of an addon provided in good faith? Possibly. Can it steal your steam account? Yes, it absolutely can. So my answer is very clearly, no, nothing about the addon is safe to use, it's all 100% about trust in the integrity and competence of the creators of the plugin, which isn't even official.

can approve. worked for me also.


NOTE: you can download "windows_with_installer.zip" from the github releases which will let you skip step 6. just click the .bat file in the extracted folder from github. very neat feature for casuals and beginners. :)

*sigh*....I was hoping it was just me and there was a way to get at least Steam to work again. What a complete and total crock. It's one of the most unoptimized programs I've ever used, and now the integrations don't even work. Cute. Real cute. Oh, and the activity feed doesn't work anymore either.
