released for Fallout 4?

if i have goty edition will it just be an update then done kind of thing

The game will be released on steam in 30 minutes, GOG will download it, replace steam_api.dll, repackage, and upload, it will be available as an offline installer after that.

There is a small chance that the GOG Galaxy client will serve up the installed game before that, in the time it takes to retrieve a master copy from steam, but I don't care about that, I want my offline DRM-free copy.

In the meantime, maybe you should download and archive the current stable version, in case Bethesda breaks everything, or your favourite mods stop working.

I hope GOG Fallout 4 Game of the Year edition gets the next gen patch also, and soon.

Are you just trolling? That's EXACTLY what happens, I suggest you check yourself before piling in. Especially since GOG will probably reply to you as well. It isn't complicated, a few hours at most. Mark my words.

No I'm not trolling. GOG are supplied builds by developers and publishers directly. This is not a pirate site.

I turned off updates, and it still updated for me. My game is in 4k and with the new DLC. So it updated already i guess.

As that suggests you're using Galaxy you should be able to rollback.

Yes, I know, supplied through privileged access to steam, in this game and publisher's case. Noteworthy are the steam_api wrappers included in the offline installer...

I spit facts, choose to twist them and imply some kind of piracy connection, if you will, what's wrong with you? Nobody mentioned piracy! And even if they did, it will not change the events currently in flow regarding the release of the update! And you will either download the offline installer with steam_api.dll wrapper, identical to the steam version, or use the Galaxy Client, a skin and alternative server and distribution platform based on steam but run by a company with good ethics.
