Any gateway recommendation for Depeche Mode? I'm an album guy and jumping to all 14 by release date feels too much.

The closest thing i can remember of would be Makeup & Vanity set - Remember but it's only that song.

I've also recently found out this band, Replicant, kind of fits the profile.

Not really synth either, more lo-fi, but I just came across this one: Flamingosis - Sunset Park

Soooo much good music like this out there. So much. Lots of sub-genres to discover as well.

Also, here's a guy who has some pretty cool (and funny) tutorials on how to make a lot of this type of music, should anyone have the interest: FrankJavCee
