Microids is on a mission to bring us another installment of Agatha Christie’s iconic tales – Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile is coming soon on GOG!

A peaceful cruise on the Nile is disrupted by a terrible crime. Thankfully, famous detective Hercule Poirot is onboard.
Meanwhile, a private detective is tracking a murderer, leading her from London to Majorca, New York, and finally to Egypt.

The two investigations collide at Abu Simbel. The dynamic duo will solve a complex case full of twists and turns.
But the story doesn’t end with the book, and it still holds many mysteries and twists, even for Agatha Christie fans.
Dual Protagonists: Play as both Hercule Poirot and Jane Royce, each with unique perspectives and storylines that converge in an epic finale.

Wishlist it now!

curtisfarm: What does any of this have to with Death on the Nile?
Well, the trailer shows sand, some pyramids and a river, clearly the Nile. I assume someone on that boat is going to die, preferably the boat will have an accident and the whole cast of characters will get torn apart by hungry crocodiles or get mauled by a hippo.

This is likely to be a fun little adventure game, but I really would rather that if such significant alterations are made to the original work that the associations to Agatha Christie (Limited) would be removed. It's no longer representative of the original work; it shouldn't be associated posthomously with an author whose favour cannot possibly be determined. I find it very distasteful and insulting that someone who is unlikely a best selling author considers themselves so arrogant as to make such alterations. I'm rather bored with games doctoring and distorting beloved novels rather than utilising the premise to create something new, or lo and behold - forming their own ideas. It could have just been its own little novel, and do whatever it wanted, instead.

solesurvivor83: At the surface level yes, but the true reasons go way deeper than that.

Black_Hart: Could you elaborate?
I would love to, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to on this forum. I've already been temporarily banned once for too much truth and/or potentially hurting feelings.

I hear everyone blaming DEI/ESG, and while that is absolutely true, you have to ask yourself WHY those rules are there in the first place. WHO decided to enforce these rules and WHY are they wasting so much money doing it?

In essence it's all to demoralize us, to divide and conquer. And still it goes deeper than that. The only way out is to realize that we are all on the same side and in essence want the same things in life.

Personally, as a lifelong gamer, it's really disheartening to see what they have done to the things that used to bring me so much joy, and even more so to see that most have been hypnotized by these messages. Luckily there are still good games out there and a lot of people are starting to see through the charade.
