I'm so happy right now. :D While that is a shame, the multiplayer was never really that good and I only played around with SnapMap for a few hours before just going back to the single player campaign which is where all the good stuff is to begin with.

Interesting that Bethesda/Microsoft are still willing to publish stuff here after the acquisition. Gives me hope for the rumoured Oblivion remake.

They only publish stuff on GOG years after Steam, that way they get people to double dip.

Good. I'm old-school-minded, so I am dubious that this DOOM 2016 is a "masterpiece" but, assuming the multiplayer was online-only/online-only+Galaxy, knowing it is a fully DRM-free product makes me more inclined to purchase it.

OH HELL YES!

No, it is, I was one of the biggest skeptics of Doom 2016 when it came out as I was a die hard supporter of Doom 3 and wanted the series to go further into the scary horror direction, I was determined to not like it.

Less than an hour into the game, I reached a frantic combat encounter that made the gameplay all come together and truly click, I was suddenly all 'oh, I see how it is', and from there it became shooter nirvana. Doom 2016 has an aggressive, visceral nature that is polished to perfection. I would absolutely call this game a masterpiece.

While this is great we got it I do so hope we get Rage 1 here sometime
