FS7x: In the Steam version I need to be connected to online to play by myself against bots in the multiplayer maps.
Is this still the case in the GOG version? Can I play matches against bots in the multiplayer maps offline?
The store page says no multiplayer and I don't even see an option to play multiplayer maps. The only options I see are for campaign and SnapMap ( which the store page also says isn't available, but there is SOME SnapMap stuff in here. TBH I don't even know wtf SnapMap is really)

rojimboo: wat did he mean by this
The "Infinite supply of digital goods" made me laugh my ass off. If there was an infinite supply, we'd still be able to buy Spec Ops: The Line, Prey (2006), Turok (2008), Wolfenstein (2009), Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, You Are Empty, Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason, etc.

Infinite supply of digital goods! I haven't laughed so hard in years!

Ohh that's what you meant :). Well, in the context of my post, I'm talking about supply and demand curves in a very simplistic Econ 101 way, almost as someone who failed it in high school lol.

I'm not talking about the offering of the whole of GOG the store, and the options and variety available to purchase of different games.

I'm talking about that supply problems do not exist for a digital good. So there is no manufacturing, no warehouses or delivery companies. No stores with inventories. It's a digital good with infinite supply.

That is all ;)

ps. It's always better to ask for clarification if you don't understand something, instead of jumping to conclusions. Sort of what I did earlier. I wish more people did that on forums.

Wamtu: They're really more Quake games. Though considering I like Quake a little more than OG Doom, I'm not complaining.
It's "more like Quake" because Quake is also more modern and took advantage of groundbreaking things like having real verticality lol, but outside of the level design (with Doom 2016 being more arena-focused while the original games had enemies and ambushes everywhere) the modern games are very much Doom

Mafwek: Just to make it clear, Eternal is the better game in new Doom Duology?
avatar
Memecchi: I feel like you'll hear different opinions, but the consensus seems to be that Eternal has better gameplay (thanks to the dash and hook) while Doom 2016 nails the atmosphere and is more immersive

But some people still prefer Doom's gameplay because Eternal went all in with the platforming and forcing the player to rotate their weapons and it's too much of a headache for some, soooo
Well, I consider Turbo Overkill the best FPS game I ever played and it was heavily inspired by Eternal, so I think I will settle with Eternal being better shooter.

Do you think we will get Total Chaos on Gog from the same developer / publisher ?

I hear you, although Turbo is *way* more kind with the weapon swapping since you don't run out of ammo nowhere near as fast

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I saw gog mentioned somewhere, can't remember on which platform though.

tremere110: It looks like you can still access SnapMap. You just can't use it for multiplayer. You seem to be able to play and create them just fine in single player mode.
Yes! Thanks for letting me know. I was kind of disappointed that SnapMap was apparently cut out of the GOG release. I don't really mind not having multiplayer, but losing out on SnapMap would have been a huge downside in my opinion.

Click reply to reply to a post like normal, then edit out (delete) any of the quoted text you don't want from between the quote tags. Then add your own reply outside the quote tags and send the reply.

Now we need Doom Eternal and RAGE 1 & 2. C'mon Bethesda!
People demand the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy.
Make it happen.

Pay harder and you may get everything you want. Just do not expect others to pay harder because the others will as well expect you to pay harder and in the end... someone will have to actually start, else no one will ever pay harder.

Never heard of a "reboot"; but if that is what you actually mean, this new "package", then it is this one:
Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy

In order to get it on GOG simply buy it on GOG and no other place else it will simply be at the other place... it is that simple with todays economics.

Thanks a lot guys, of course instabought. Some ID Software games are still missing though...

Please do not forget the rest of the bunch, there are not many missing Bethesda/ID Software Games left.

If I could read the future I would expect "Wolfenstein Youngblood" to come next (would close another series here).

If there should not be enough votes already, please vote guys (old wishlist):

The missing rest ("Wolfenstein 2009", "Prey 2006", "Heretic 2", "Hexen 2 Expansion", "Keen Dreams", "Hovertank 3D") would be nice, too. Those have legel issues at the moment, but you have gotten around those a few times already. SO PLEASE bring more. The money / my money is still ready for those titles...
