Well, it seems my question whether 2 vigs were around has been answered.

@Krypsyn. If you edited your post now, can you be punished for next game? :P

Sage103082: I was remorseful for a past poor kill long long ago and until I was lifted I could only peep into Windows
So, my question then, to see what kind of a mess RW has made, did you run into anyone else on N2 or not?
Well, as Town, that was a highly enjoyable game, though I can see that it was frustrating for scum.
I am surprised that Town had so many roles, I was kind of expecting Vanillas as well.

@scum - N1, why me?

@town - how many of the Town players figured out what yogsloth was doing pretty quickly and how many didn't get it until D2?

From my first post, which was also a claim. I was wondering what I would be able to do with my gimped role, even though I wouldn't go for something as crazy as what yog did.

Thought you were the unrestrictor and that's how you got yogs' play. Plus you were fairly on the ball and I thought you might have had some of us sussed so that was a bonus.

I know you are asking town, but based on my role I guessed he could just pick a role, but had to actually claim it (I believe that's kind of what Krypsyn thought too based on his joker reference) to get it (somewhat a reverse of mine)
But by the time Hijack claimed I had it pretty much figured out.
When BlueMooner shared the important facts of his role with us N1 I had the whole set up figured out (more than I knew as it turns out all the rest of town were restricted roles) but I think it was too late to do anything about it as me and Krypsyn were under heavy suspicion and up for the chop...

Anyway, you should all totally thank trent as without him saving flub D2 and dobbing me in things might have gone very differently...
I know what comes next!

flubbucket: And look at that.....flubbucket was totally town again
avatar
dedoporno: What was the nature of your restriction? Try to do it and always fail?
Yes.
avatar
flubbucket: Yes.
Then why were you so reluctant to believe what was happening?

You'll get us next time for sure ;)

Also, thanks, Joe, you da man! Too bad you and Cristi couldn't get your wins. Yet again I see how hard is for neutrals to win.

I claim Neutral Bulletproof Berserker. :P
avatar
dedoporno: Anyway, even though the game's final was a bit anti-climactic I liked the whole setup quite a bit.
Maybe the actual ending was a sudden drop, but leading up into it was very, very crazy. If you watch the observer thread, you can pretty much tell exactly when Trent and Adalia had their back-and-forth claim.

ROFL!

The lesson I plan to take from this game: If Yog does something outrageous and/or seemingly stupid, then assume he has a plan and act accordingly (especially if he isn't on your team).

-----

The setup was kind of bizarre, but fascinating.

I see how a mass claim Day 1 would probably have hosed town in the face, and I think some people's attempts to meta-game hurt them. That Impersonator especially seems like a really strong role. I think this one could have very easily gone either way.
Just finished reading the Observer thread... wish I'd sat this one out, you guys had much more fun than we did...

Full credit to yogs, I do believe his play broke the game but there was no way he would have known that, and it was absolutely brilliant.

Special mention to HSL for keeping me smiling all game with his razor sharp wit.. :D

And it's just a shame that being neutral trent doesn't share town's victory, because without him I really think this game could have gone differently...

Also, no one !£$£@@@ noticed my backup cop breadcrumbs day 1? Seriously!?
*sigh*

Here's my full role PM, just so you know what I was playing with:

Adaliabooks – Jerod (Scum Impersonator)
You grew up an orphan and spent your childhood moving from orphanage to foster care, back to another orphanage. You get the idea. You were quite the prodigy though. With the wide-range of different experiences, you learned how to “adapt”.

Impersonator – One time during the game, you may choose one claimed role (not including the dead and not including your scum buddies). For the rest of the game, you gain all abilities of that role. Prior to this choice, if investigated by abilities which suggest your role, you read/hint as “Vanilla”. After the choice, you read/hint as the new role you chose. [See what people get from role-claiming early!]

I still think what I did was within the rules of my role. RWarehall did add the no claims after lynch thing, but it was an after thought so I don't think it should have counted...

But that last exchange with trent may have been the most fun I've ever had in mafia... so I regret nothing.

JMich: @mchack: Why did you choose to unrestrict me on Day 3?
I thought you were the least likely to get nightkilled, since you were more hidden in lurker mode than the others I could have chosen. I thought lift and sage would be too exposed to unrestrict them. Didn't want to unrestrict someone that gets killed in the same night.
As for trent or flubs I obviously never considered unrestrict them and the others I didn't have any Idea they had roles at all :D
------

Anyway, seems with dedo I really hit the jackpot with my first unrestrict :D thank you for getting adalia and saving town

Unless you become a dirty traitor :D

Edit: which actually brings up an important question? Why did you stop then lynching flub trent? If you hadn't said anything, he probably would have been the lynch. Even if you didn't think he was mafia, what did it matter? It would be better for you if town didn't lynch mafia as the game would go on longer, thus giving you more opportunity to steal money.

I doubt it.
Yogs had me bang to rights in the observer thread. I don't do well with slips when scum (which is why I post much more carefully as scum then I do as town, I'm amazed no one noticed I didn't refer to Town instead of "us" or "we" once...) and I'm a maths man, I knew victory was near impossible without Krypsyn so I couldn't bring myself to bus him knowing there was a chance to stretch it to No Lynch.

I make a far better town player than scum..

Plus yogs comment about bussing him made me want to not... cause I really am that petty XD (and probably would have done it if I was town too, consequences be damned)

That's why I said I should have kept my mouth shut and let things play out, I overplayed my hand. The only reason I didn't stay quite was because I was in the didn't get it crowd and wanted to get some town credit to keep prying eyes off me.

I was pretty sure you and Kryspyn were scum from day 1 because of how it went, but I was not going to push that because I needed scum to stay around for at least 4 or 5 days. Once I overplayed my hand on day 2 I made it almost impossible for me to win I think.
