I figured this could be a fun thing to discuss that's a little different. Owning to the quality of the writing on the show going down hill significantly in the last two seasons the ending seems to me to be a complete crap shoot at this point. So I thought it might be fun to see how some people think it may end.

Obviously there is potential for spoilers when discussing this stuff so fair warning to anyone who's concerned about that.

My prediction for the ending is that they're going to go full St. Elsewhere and make the whole thing a figment of Bran's imagination as he lays bleeding out at the base of the tower he was pushed out of.

What do you think?
I haven't seen a single episode of GoT, only read about it (out of curiosity...why do people watch this?)...but even I know there are plot leaks for the last season which so far have been accurate.
Massive SPOILER below...

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

Jon Snow stabs that crazy dragon girl Dany to death and goes back to that ice wall, because he feels guilty about it.
Bran is elected king, because they decide it's time for someone in a wheelchair to fill that office.
In the very last minute of the show dimensional portals open, and Orcs from Azeroth are storming into the GoT world.
This whole season and a half has been so bad i'm fully prepared for Shrek to take the Throne and Podrick to sing All Star
turns out that they all got killed in first season and have been replaced by faceless men since then. Braavos strolls in and take over without a fight, because they all owned too much gold to the bank. the end.
I predict me groaning horribly the entire time but deep down actually happy that the horrible curse of ever being interested and invested in this show and book series is lifted and then later rewatching Season 1 of True Detective with my remaining subscription time

MAJOR SPOILER

A realistic ending idea I heard is that The Spider will get Danny from the grave. He was executed but he had already sent his letters detailing his beliefs about her (now proven true) to their recipients and he already had a spy attempting to poison her, he was killed the spy wasn't the girl will just finish her job.
I almost with they would do a finale like "The Sopranos" just to annoy the hardcore fans.
Bran will be revealed to be the true Night King and the one killed was an illusion. Bran will ascend the throne and turn Westeros into never-ending ice.
I have a feeling that all the suggestions so far will be better than what their writers come up with.

Oh come on! It's not like production was rushed or anything...

People probably watch it to get their LOTR/Tolkienesque fix, and also because of the hot steamy smex. 0.o

As for what you wrote(the spoiler bit): If that happens then it'll be worse than the endings of LOST and The Sopranos COMBINED(imo).

Well first there was the starbucks cup than they had the chopped off hand grow back. Maybe in the finale they'll just break for a full Coke commercial in the middle, complete with a Kardashian singing a and dancing to a musical number and ending the whole war by giving the last dragon a can of Coke.

I haven't seen The Sopranos (don't like mafia stuff), but read about its controversial ending...didn't seem that bad to me, it seems quite clear that the main protagonist is killed.
I actually watched the first three seasons of Lost, until it became clear that the show was just a massive scam, with the writers making it up as they went along...probably one of the worst series ever.
Breaking Bad is the only series I've really watched from start to finish in recent years...the final season disappointed me, has soured me on investing so much time in a tv series again.

I never watched the final season of Breaking Bad and from what I read it was good that I didn't. If you go with the final episode from the second last season as the ending it's actually a pretty good ending.

Many felt the sopranos ending was a big middle finger to the audience/lazy writing/etc, and as for lost: It might've been "unique" but it made for some good parodies.

As to BB: The ending had to be that way likely because many people still cling to the old media law that bad guys always had to have a bad ending(to supposedly not promote criminal behavior).
