A pack in spaceship's clothing.

Star Wolves 2, an RTS/RPG about humanity's deep space exploits, is now DRM-free on GOG.com.

It's the year 2232. In a galaxy far far away, the human interstellar Empire is still licking its wounds after a fierce civil war with the oppressive mega corporations. With them out of the milky way, it turns its attention towards the looming, persistent Alien threat. Small, agile squads are best suited for the ensuing skirmishes, so your trusty pack of Star Wolves must ride once again.

Your fighters may be small but there is a vast galaxy to explore out there. Bring your imposing mothership and your nimble armada into over 50 star systems and tackle dynamic, perilous missions against space pirates, Aliens and rogue A.I.s. Customize your crew and ships by upgrading their skills and gear as you see fit. The non-linear story will take you on a journey through the treacherous, ever-stretching space highways, where the only ones who survive are those hunting in packs.

Fight the Aliens tooth and claw alongside your fellow Star Wolves 2, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com.
No launch discount... which means I am free to wait and bundle the purchase with Thea later (soon, hopefully). And maybe get some time to play #1 a bit and see if I even like it. Screenshots look nice.
glad you have this now. I know these games aren't the best ( actually it's just this one that's a little weaker ) but I've been holding off buying them on Steam in the awesome sales they're on over there because I have one of them here and would like the rest here now.

The phrase "about bloody time!" comes to mind.
Nice. Have it on Steam but so I'll wait for a deep discount for here. Good that it's here in the first place though.
It's about time that this game was released on GOG too! :D

Though i already have it DRM-Free on a magazine DVD and on Steam so i'll pass.
Look at all those extras. Good to see that we still get those sometimes. Thanks, GOG and 1C!
So how is SW2 different from the first game? Are the maps bigger?

vicklemos: Another rusky masterpiece. Thanks for bringing these to western audiences, GOG/1C!

jadeite: To be fair, that other shop had Star Wolves 1-3 since 2010.
I know!

... but they're not drm-free there! :D

I'd be interested to know this also!

You can move freely between sectors in this game, still the first game is better imo but this one has nice ladies on the boxcover. :^P

From the screenshots, it looks like the interface is almost exactly the same. Does the user have more control of the ships? How is the voice acting?
So....when we expect the third one?!! Next year?! :)
Nice to see it here. Shameless boobs on the news release. http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/46280/header.jpg?t=1447352922

Control over the ships and voice acting is generally the same as in the first game.
My main problem with this one is that it feels unfinished, they went for the openworld thing but there just isn't anything interesting in it to do (just like in GTA :^P ) and this is where the 1st shines, the missions are really fun. Haven't played the 3rd yet.
WOW, with soundtrack :)
It does not happen often.

Wishlisted!
