Look over there! It's a three-headed…tentacle?

Celebrated classics The Curse of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion (-33%) return, DRM-free on GOG.com.
To celebrate, The Secret of Monkey Island: SE and Monkey Island 2: SE are 65% off until March 26, 2PM UTC. Get them together with Curse of Monkey Island for an additional 25% bundle discount.

The Curse of Monkey Island
Meet Guybrush Threepwood. He's stranded mid-ocean atop a bumper car, he's hungry, thirsty, and much, much taller than you remember him. Yet still as determined as ever to save Elaine from the clutches of his undead nemesis, the evil pirate LeChuck. After his wedding proposal goes terribly awry, he will join a barbershop quartet, curb the enthusiasm of a demonic skull bent on world domination, and quite possibly die while trying to lift The Curse of Monkey Island. All in a day's work.

Maniac Mansion
Oh no, Sandy got abducted by the eccentric, quite possibly deranged Dr. Fred! Surely this has nothing to do with the comet that landed outside his Maniac Mansion 20 years ago or the two sentient tentacles running around the premises, right? Just in case, though, Dave picks two friends (out of seven in total - Dave is a popular guy!) and ventures into Ron Gilbert's classic point & click adventure, which reshaped the whole genre and later inspired a little sequel called Day of the Tentacle.

Pretty big thumbs up for this one! Nice work GoG and thanks to those that made it happen!
What a great news! I'll see if I take advantage of the discounts
high rated
I too still have the boxed version and it runs fine with SummVM, but I insta-bought this anyway because it is easily one of my favorite games. *cough*andthebestmonkeyislandperiodcauseitbirthedmurray*cough*

But please, PLEASE, PLEAAAASEEEE add other languages if possible! The english version is amazing, no argument there. But I grew up with the german version and it's the one that is permanently burned into my skull. My nostalgia demands it.

Nice! I'll get Curse as soon as i finish the first two games.
This is truly a great day for games. I played these with my niece so many times I know them backwards but still worth purchasing again> Worth their weight in gold!
Shouldn't owners of Day of the Tentacle Remastered theoretically get Maniac Mansion as a freebie, given that the complete original is in the game anyway? In fact, in the original Day of the Tentacle you could copy out the Maniac Mansion files and play it through ScummVM, but Double Fine saw fit to encrypt those files this time around (I've still got my DOTT CD so I don't have to keep booting through DOTTR to play MM).

In any case, will ponder buying CoMI later on, the price is actually pretty good.

Edit: Just realised in any case that it's not GOG that I have DOTTR on, but Humble. Doh!

Hmm,...I'd love to buy the two.
But somehow, the discount seems to be wrong?

If I look at the game page for CoMI, it says € 5,29.
If I add it to my cart, it says (-25%) € 4,49.

That isn't correct already, because 25% off of 5,29 should be 3,97

But the worst part is: if I go to ckeck-out, it will show the full price of € 5,29.

Just for completeness sake, I want to add, that MM costs € 5,99
With the shown discount of 32%, it should be € 4.07 but it's 4,09

Peanuts, I know, but,...

Nope, I'd buy it (unless it was much more than Curse).

Actually the price seems to have gone up...?
Now the full price is 6.99€... Managed to buy it before that, for 4,49€ (discounted from the old 'full price' 5.99€)

Breja: I know it's not a popular opinion, but I think The Curse of Monkey Island is the best of the entire series.
I dunno, seems more like the default opinion of anyone who was born after the 80s. Only people who played MI back when computers had black screens with green text stubbornly insist that the Gilbert games are unapproachable masterpieces and you kids get off my pixelated lawn.

Though at least we can all agree that MI4 is not very good.
