Do whatever you want... in space.

X Gold, X2: The Threat, X3: Reunion & X3: Terran War Pack, a series of sandbox space-simulators, are available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Look out for the games at up to 75% off in the Classic X Pack during the Big Fall Promo, or grab the games individually at 50% off.

The X games - X Gold, X2: The Thread, X3: Reunion & X3: Terran War Pack - are a series of some of the most ambitious and sophisticated space-roaming simulators ever created. This is no exaggeration.

The universe is a vast, ruthless place, a true final frontier, where the strong and cunning prosper while the weak are eaten up alive without mercy. But do you have the guile and determination to make it?
The X Series are true sandboxes - you are in charge of your destiny from the second you leave the hangar for the first time, until the moment you deem yourself satisfied with your galactic conquest.

Even though the complexity may be overwhelming to newcomers, the rewards are incredible: in the X Series you can do whatever you want. Become a roaming mercenary - go from nimble fighters to hulking destroyers, join one of the many factions in war, build and maintain a massive trading empire from rags to riches, even own your own trading posts and facilities. The possibilities are incredible.

You can now grab the entire series at up to 75% off in the Classic X Pack during the Big Fall Promo!

Trade, Fight, Build, Think in X Gold, X2: The Threat, X3: Reunion & X3: Terran War Pack, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com

blotunga: I've got the Superbox with the humble bundle, but i'm tempted of re-getting the series just to convince Ego to release Rebirth here too.

real.geizterfahr: Rebirth... I still don't know what to think about it. Egosoft always released buggy and incomplete games (and always patched them to great games!), but Rebirth... The whole concept doesn't look promising :/ I'll probably get it when it arrives here, just to support their way back out of Steam (Albion Prelude was Steam-only until today).
I followed the forums and gathered steam credit. I was planning on getting it during the winter sale. But now probably i'll get Alien Isolation and will wait for Rebirth here. After the latest fixes it seems promising enough and i have spent probably more time on Egosoft games than on any other game.
Interesting release - thanks for introducing some new games during the sale GOG.

Is the user interface mostly hidden in these games? Judging by the screenshots (especially for X3: Reunion) it certainly looks like it.
What's the difference between X3: Reunion and X3: Terran War Pack. Someone mentioned the story but is there any other important differences?

Also does the window still stay stuck if you use windowed mode?

Yes but easy to open the menu you want, also learning some shortcuts VERY advantegous in X3

Hi Spectre.

Terran War Pack is a standalone expansion to Reunion. There are more ships and the Terran faction is in the game. The storyline is a follow-up to the end of Reunion's 1p campaign.

Regards.
Also remade user interface and other things

Cool, thanks for the answer Themken. :)

On a related note, I just voted for Tachyon: The Fringe.
Hail to the king baby!

Same publisher???

I meant to message them a couple of years ago, but forgot.
Yay for space sims! :-)
Hmm, i have heard a lot of great stuff about these games but also some bad stuff from people that didnt like them.
Wishlisted for maybe buy later.
Hows the single player story? (dumb question but how is mouse/keyboard vs gamepad etc with these games?)

ShadowWulfe: Same publisher???
Unfortunately not, the aforementioned is both developed and published by NovaLogic.
Seeing the X Games appear here in the midst of a sale was quite a (positive) surprise...
Seems to be really nice releases ! Never played any of them, but it's may be time, since I heard and am hearing lot of good :)
How are the spacefights ? Interesting ?
And can the games be played on a resolution of 1600x900 ?

Very nice!

Too bad i own all of those already on Steam (and they got ported to Win 10, sort of), so since i already made the incentive for this sale, i'll hold this one off until the next sale.
