Finished yet another trial in forspoken. The first boss fight if you like.
It was quite the enjoyable one. Lots of mad stuff happening.
Prior to the fight i decreased some of the graphical settings and lowered the DLSS setting to performance. I have my gpu limited at 250Watts so i could not enjoy the graphical fidelity. Not that i had any time left for sightseeing.
I'm nowhere near someone such as LetmeSoloher in terms of skill level :p
With 3 offensive options and about 8 support magic options there is a lot to choose. Of course i did enable time to slow down with the menu's open. Think Skyrim inventory management during combat but with slowtime.
Anyways, Forspoken is fast game with a lot of screen shattering magical effects happening all of the time therefore it asks a lot from your system on higher levels of graphical choices.
The game is quite the memory trainer too.. With the defeat of the boss our lovely protagonist absorbed her power thus gaining access to a whole new school of spells. I'm not sure yet what this will mean but i do know that there are at least 3 other main powers still threatening life as we know it. As further as you progress the more skills offensively and defensively will be at your disposal. At the moment i'm starting to recognize and manage to apply the support stuff in the right settings. Still, now it does seem to be a daunting quest to manage everything if there are, lets say, 3 different schools of spells with a total of 30 different spells that all can be unlocked, refined and each have a specific range of usefullness.
I imagine this to be similar to those impossible combo's you can make in Nier Automata (check it out
Here this is not the vid i was looking for :p. That one included combations done also together with some of the bot powers switching both during combat, crazy stuff. But this A2 showfight is pretty cinematic all together, enjoy i would say)
So, three shots that portray the road towards and an aftermath of sorts.
(one of the screenshots has me fiddling around with the internal screenshot option. Failed, but good enough i guess. In the shot our protagonist is swinging around a pole with use of her newfound fire magic)
