On the unofficial wiki for the Elder Scrolls series there is a very nice list of all the changes in the remastered version that is getting bigger and bigger with every day -> here

There are a lot of changes from what i heard but this game is very fresh and good sources for the exact changes are still rare.

Anyway, this video is a good start. Apparently they had in mind to "fix" some of the changes affecting characters... well yeah.

Now that's more like it, such a shame modders to have save even the remake but hey
That's cool.
Of course, from the jump - there should've been an option in-game officially to turn new lighting/shading/color settings on and off.

Which one of the "many stuff" have been changed to be "on par with some political agenda"? Maybe daggers dmg based on agility instead of strenght? Maybe that sound now have acoustics? You can now sprint, and it is linked to Athletics?

Or maybe you are listening to a load of nonsense and beliving it without checking if it is true or not.

edit - bloody GOG forum link formating

I honestly can't tell which is more pathetic,

the company that for a remaster of a game first released in 2006 goes in to muck about with body types et al or the idgits who sponsor said company with full price coin and then tell themselves that they're somehow taking a stance on the matter by downloading a mod.

Anyway, bullshit has become an invaluable high-level filtering tool in a world where at any given time there are thousands of games competing for my time and money. Bullshit suffers a devaluation rate of 75% at my end, so, sure, i'll take a look when the price hits 13,75 and not before.

What I don't get is the idgits who is making this into an issue. There are two body types: Type 2 is a masculine body type, and Type 1 is a feminine body type. I wanted a female Khajiit, so I chose Body Type 1, and I'm really pleased with how she turned out. I quite like my little cat girl!

What is the problem here?

Not related but the screenshot feels a bit too... clean? Like it doesn't feel so much like the dungeon you were thrown into in the original game. The clothes are on point though, that's a prisoner in a dungeon. It's just the area around her that feels "clean".

Insisting on not calling a spade a spade, or in this case, for some unfathomable reason avoiding to spell out that there are only two biological sexes, male and female?

amok: To be honest, that site sounds like a disaster waiting to happen if they go through with setting it up as they described. From what I understand, the way it's being built means that no one can actually remove a mod from the system. They can hide or block it, but users are still able to "unhide" and access those mods if they have the link:
Correct. Because DEG does not host any files itself. It is therefore impossible for them to do so by design. Which, if you actually want to eliminate the potential of the site itself meddling in the mods in the future, Nexus style (politics, not legality), is pretty much the only way to go about it. I'll take a disaster waiting to happen vs an already ongoing disaster any day of the week.

And yes, actually illegal stuff is for the relevant authorities to look into. And even then, it's going to be absolute edge cases only, if any.

Xeshra: If Steam and Nexusmods is the only "valid option", then it is probably time for a revolution.
They are not the only option, but the mainstream option. As in, 80-90% won't ever bother checking anywhere else. Probably a slightly lower % for mods, but still the vast majority.

I thought Type 1 was feminine and Type 2 was masculine? That's what UESP says.

I'm confused. If only we had some words to explain the two types more clearly!

I may also have mixed them up, sorry :) I will swap them around in my post.

And why? The avatar is right there next to you, you click the button, and it changes. It’s just like any other cosmetic option. You see the result instantly. What exactly needs to be explained? Maybe i am supersmart or something, but I was never cofused.

Yes, they offer you two different body types, it is cosmetic. They call the first body type '1' and tthe second body type '2'

and by the way, only someon who do not know biology will say there are only two sexes. Someone who know biology will tell you that sex has a bimodal distribution.

Edit - If you are interested in the biology, here is an actual biologist talking about sex - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVQplt7Chos. It is very good, educational, and funny.

There's no problem seeing as my wallet opens and shuts solely at my whim and i've already decided on the conditions under which i'm willing to purchase the product in question - is that a problem for you ?

If the answer is "no" we have nothing else to talk about.

That's fine. There are many games I do not want to buy and play. But I would never call people who do so Idgits either, just because they have a different taste than I do.
